    - Not after I bash their heads in

    - I'll shoot them down to size!

    - It puts me in the perfect position to hammer you in the groin!

    - Size is overrated!

    - Twice the size, double the fall

    Want more?

I'm looking forward to a game How far are you with the army anyway?

I have seen these over at the brewery, but just wanted to say I really like the blue and cream colour scheme - it really fits Dwarves.

Also well done on making the BfSP minis look decent on the first page!

    Keep it up TBO.

Always good work on this log. The new great weapon guys are a joy to paint; I have just done a few myself. I'll be interested to see how your great weapon unit turns out.

What are you going to do next? Maybe you should join Tale of Fantasy Painters 2011-12. We always need more Dwarf players!

Wow, those are some damn fine paintjobs. I'm relatively new to dwarfs, and it's blogs like these that made me want to get them in the first place.

Re: Dawi of Karaz Ankor: The bearded one's dwarfs

I'm ashamed actually that I haven't shown a lot of the army here yet, because my librarium-online and bugmansbrewery painting logs have run for a far longer time so include everything from start to finish. Man, I have a lot of catching up to do. My army is already deployed on the table, so I will start taking pictures right now and post them a.s.a.p. There is a lot to be shown.

    Points of interest
    - plastic longbeards (the plastic warrior kit with facemasks and grey beards, customed helmets (little fancy decorations) and the symbols filed off the shields in order to put freehand runes on them.
    - NMM miner unit (yes, a unit of 15 miners, which in the end will all be NMM)
    - NMM lord (heavily W.I.P. though)
    - NMM runesmith (I like him)
    - quarrelers converted with empire bitz

Can't wait to see. Quarrelers with imperial crossbows? Wow, i like that look of heavy imperial crossbow, with dwarfs it must look like XV century siege crossbows. Bring it on!!!

Just scrolled through your log. I have to say nice coloursceme. I totally agree on the pose of the greatweapons of old. And I like the freehands on your shield. Keep it up!

Re: Dawi of Karaz Ankor: The bearded one's dwarfs

The first slayer. I also bought my first 2 of the new paintrange. 'Tuskgor fur' looks a lot like the old colour 'tanned flesh', which was discontinued a few years back, but which I used (and still do) as the base for my dwarf skin, so it's nice to have a paint almost exacly like it back again. It's a great basecoat for skin. I also washed that with the new 'reikland fleshshade' and then I highlighted with dwarf flesh and elf flesh. Because the surfaces are so large, it's a tad difficult to get good smooth transitions without spending a year to finish all 20 models, but I think I got a decent result for the time I spent on it.

Nice looking slayer, I've got myself a box of them that I haven't got around to doing yet, after seeing him I can't wait.
