Fanny's Painting Log of Many Things

Rather than create seperate threads for my many armies on the go. I'm going to compile them all in this one thread.

I'll begin by showing some of my previous work and by outlining what I am going to be working on in the near future.

I'm currently working on a halfling champion for my empire swordsman unit, which I will begin tonight and will hopefully be able to post pics tomorrow.

Here is what I'll be painting today.

Edit: Balls to the Ogres, going to put them on the back burner for now.

My Halfling champion has got me all inspired to paint my Empire so that is what i'll be painting. Them and my Herald of Tzeentch Battle Standard!

OK this is my finished champion for my swordsmen.

The story behind him is that he was watching a nearby battle from his turnip farm. The swordsmen suffered a catastrophic hit from a rock lobber killing their sergeant and fled the battle across his land. He rallied the men and led them in a victorious charge and routed the orcs. Since then he has led the unit in battle.

I really enjoyed painting him and am now going to paint his unit.

Turnip farmer indeed. The ruddy cheeks and nose are a nice touch.

Here are the beginnings of the swordsman unit, progress made on the Tzeentch Herald and the Ogres that I decided not to put on the back burner after all.

It's been a while. I'm going to try to update a lot more regularly from now on. So without further ado, here is the beginnings of my Plague Monk command group converted from the Plague Furnace crew.

Here are some WIP shots of the High Elves I'm painting for the Tale of Fantasy Painters.

Colours used can be found here:

I'm quite pleased with the opal gemstone on the Sea Guard's belt. This was done by mixing bleached bone (or dheneb stone I forget!) with a little silver and highlighting with white.

Also a River Troll, because why not?

Really good painting! Love the scheme on the elves. You might get more replies if you embed the pics.

    Great painting

Are you collecting armies for all the miniatures you have painted here?

There are so many nice models these days that it's hard to say no!

Flagellation by paintbrush doesn't sound too bad as far as punishments go

Oh yeah, very nice. I was too lazy to click on some of the pics and now I'm glad I can see them. Great work.
