There were a set of rules for Pulse Pistols in the Exterminatus Tau article. A version was recovered off the Spanish SG site and is now in the archives linked in my signature. (Tau.zip in the "SG site articles" section, if I remember correctly).
I never really liked those rules though. Better rules for Pulse weapons are likely to be amongst the additions in the next version of my "Revised Armoury".
I have yet to decide exactly how to represent them - I don't just want to give them a really high damage, as that would make them far too powerful to use in game.
There were 'offiicial' rules for the Pulse Rifle & Carbine in Death of an Angel.
If nothing else though, I'd increase those weights...Code:Type Range Mode Acc Dam Shots Rld Wt Pulse Rifle Basic H Single - 3D6+5 40 2 20 Semi (2/3) Pulse Carbine Basic F Semi (3/4) - 3D6+5 30 2 15 Full(8)
I like to remember things my own way... Not necessarily the way they happened.

a quick question .....
with a granade it gives a Area and a blast profile what are the differences between the two and what do they mean?
That's pretty clearly explained in the shooting section of the rulebook. I'd recommend you go and reread that section (it's on pg 30 of the PDF version), but here's a simple version:
Area tells you the radius of the blast in yards.
Blast tells you how many hits anyone within that area takes, but the number of hits is reduced by one for each yard the character is from the centre of the blast.
Make sure you're familiar with the blast scatter rules too if you're using blast weapons - they don't operate like most weapons.
These rules are also explained on page 30, but the modifications made specifically for grenades and/or indirect fire weapons (which grenades can be used as) are on page 31.
thanks ive the rule book in front of me but couldn't find the page.
Thanks though
