I want to present you my armies. Dwarfs, for the begining. I started to collect them two years ago by buing a 7th edition batalion and some other stuff, but now I want to create a army full of old, classic metal models. For the begining: Characters...

I just finished my Lord and general of my dwarf hird- Irmin Widarson. He was wery dificult to painting but I'm quite happy from the result. I hope you'll like him

Dwarfs need more love and replies.

I like the painting, but some of the eyes look off. Stripes for pupils are easier and give a more even result, might fix the runelord.

Why spears, not an option for a warhammer dwarf army. You could convert them into great weapons quite easy.

My idea for bases when redoing my dwarfs is to give the units a dwarf style icon carved into the floor with decoration and so on. I want to make the icon as one piece and then chop it up into 20mm squares. But this needs to get rid of the slots and pin them on the bases.

I second that. The more Dwarves the better

I much prefer the painting on the later figures than the earlier ones. I think that your rank-and-file are nicer than you characters so far (with the excpetion of the lovely BSB).

Also, the spear Dwarves are a great idea - I'm planning to do the same. Since Dwarves are a fantasy version of Saxons/Vikings, spears should be spread throughout any Dwarven army imo. Count them as GWs if people opponents won't let you use them as spears.

Back in 5th edition, Dwarves could get spears. I really miss the option.

Great old figures, I like to see the bases done. (I'm a base freak these days). I agree about the eyes. Im in an art class currently and just learned that you never see white all around the pupil unless you want the guy to look like he's staring.
