    Necromunda rules (newest edition)

I've been re-reading the rulebook I bought for an upcoming tournament. I've only probably played ten games spread out over quite a few years.

Anyway, when looking for the rules on flamers, I cant find the set on fire rules. I can see places saying to look at the flamer section, but nothing there. I have looked on GW website for Errata's on Necromunda and cant find anything.

Can anyone help? Is there a file with common fixes/rules answered? The book hasa lot of errors in it to be honest - and I want to make sure I'm using the correct rules (the weapon stats section at the back for instance has a few errors)

I think they changed the rules at some point and took out the rules for setting people on fire.

In the same book though, it says in the hand flamer weapon profile to refer to the hand flamer for the rules on setting on fire. So I assumed they've missed it out accidentally rather than no longer using the rule.

Here's the most recent FAQ I could find (2008 version)

    http://www.easternfringe.com/forum/e...10-10-2008.pdf

Malo's gang manager site Yakromunda also has the FAQ on it, I'm not sure if it pre-dates or supercedes the 2008 one though.

I'm not sure, I'll have to check. I think it might be based on the 2005 one, can't remember if I knew that 2008 one existed. I'll definitely make sure it's updated to that 2008 one if not.

As for rules I'd recommend the Community Edition over the GW downloadable rules. Many clarifications, fixes and additions to make things run much smoother. And it contains setting on fire rules.

Thanks guys - will look at home.

Another question I remembered which I couldn't find in the rule book (I bought the book but I think its the same as the download on the GW site)

What happens when the gang leader is killed? It doesn't say anywhere (I could find) what happens. Wasn't sure if I simply buy a new one (like a regular ganger replacement) or if the gang disbands, or if there's other negatives associated.

As to the Yakromunda site - I have just registered, as has one of my mates. So I'll look over that site tonight too.

    Thanks for the help.

If your leader dies, the ganger with the next highest leadership takes over automatically. If there are gangers with the same leadership then the highest leadership and xp becomes leader. However, if you have a Juve with a higher leadership than any of the gangers (it can happen), he won't become leader but when he has enough XP to be a full ganger (21+) then he will challenge for leadership. You'll find rules for leadership challenges on the Yakromunda Library; just search for "leader".

Excellent, thanks for the help. That's a much better way of replacing the leader. I just bought a new one in the last game - but knew it didn't feel right (especially as we was poorer than the battle hardened gangers I had)
