    HisBrettness' Dark Eldar

    As so many people, I couldn't resist the new Dark Eldar and just had to start collecting them.
    My first idea was a haemunculi themed Army, but the lack of models forced me to concentrate on the Kabal (at least for now).
    But still I wanted to convert something and the product of my need was this Scourge.

    I hope you like it. More will follow in the next few days.
    Comments and critique anyone?

    cheers
    His Brettness

    Very nice! The models looks really dynamic, and although it's a bit more mechanical than the artwork, it looks very suitable.

    Very nice conversion! That is an excellent use of the SG wings! How many Scourge do you plan on doing?

    Looking great so far! Can't wait to see them painted!

    I'm also going to jump on the DE bandwagon!

    Those wings work really well, good thinking. What sort of paint scheme have you got in mind for your kabal?

  7. #7
    Absolutely love them! I also couldn't resist them...I actually bought them 5/10 minutes after you. We should team up when we've got some nice armies.

    (If you neef some more wings, let me
    know. I've got two pairs left...)

    lovely scourge model. Those wings are actually quite nice when not attached to power-nippled Blingmarines.

    Brettness.

    Just curious how you're going to handle modeling the Shard Carbines and Ghost Plate Armour, because it looks like you've got the rest handled nicely.

    Give them pain!

    Inventive use of plastics there! I like the base as well, adds to the agile dynamics of the model.

    Re: HisBrettness' Dark Eldar

    Thanks for all the replies!
    Here's the almost finished Squad:
    Only have to do some minor Greenstuffing at the joint of the Wings

    @AmKhaibitu:
    I think I wont convert the Armor/Carbines. I will just paint the Armor a little different (more gold/blingbling or sth). And the Artwork of the Carbines just looks as normal rifles without blades.

    @Fabius Style:
    I think I'll stay with 5.....at least for the beginning

    @Getifa Ubazza:
    The Wings are from the blood Angels Sanguine Guard, the Torsos/weapons from Dark Eldar Warriors and the Legs/some Heads from the Wych-Kit.

    @Matt-allicA:
    I'll go for something green.....I'm painting my first test-Warrior at the moment^^

    I like them all except for the guy with the Dark Lance (or whatever they are calling it now). He seems to be in a really awkward position, particularly when sat next to the others, who all have a simular flow to them.

    Yeah, I somehow agree with you Logarithm. I'm not that happy with this one either....but now everything is assembled, so I think I wont change him.

    How are you going to paint them. I was thinking about painting mine 'Kabal of the Obsidian Rose'

    Re: HisBrettness' Dark Eldar

    Here are the first pictures of my test-warrior....he is far from finished, obviously, but as the Armour is done, you can get the basic idea of how they'll look.
    Critique and comments welcome, as usual.

    EDIT: Hm, those Photographs really make me see my unclean highlighting....I have to work on this :P

    Re: HisBrettness' Dark Eldar

    Like the rest of the unit of scourges, the bases make them look really dynamic and full of movement - just as they should be! The paint scheme suits them well, more badass evil rather then chaos evil which is what you want. I think what colour you base them could make or break the scheme though! Really cool start and keep it up
