The "Fanaconda's" are greatcool unique army!
Was always a fan of these older models, fell in love with the forest goblins after reading their fluff in the early 90's armybook (with the boarboys charging and the bright green spine) the illistrations were great. Love what your doing with these guys, keep them coming!
Just thought i would let you know that painting that A-rok fully assebled is going to be a big pain in the neck. I put mine together and tried to paint it and it went bad from the start. i would try and take all the legs off and the basket on top also. this will make your life so much easier than trying to fit your brush into all the little spaces on this kit.
I love what you've done. I am surprised and delighted to see how well the plastic spider riders work as foot troops. I love the fanacondas but I would add some stringy materials or greenstuff to the wires of the fanatic with spiders. That way it looks less like metal wire and looks like he's twirling them around by the webbing coming from their ****.
Also, love the giant but the cheapness of the plastic palm detracts from the overall look, perhaps add some greenstuff on the trunks bubbles and give them more natural of texture or make them less mathemetical and perfect. Also blend in the plastic to the part where the giant is holding the trunk. The pose seems a little strange. Maybe a slight tilting of his arm or hand would make it look more animated and natural.
The shrine seems a little large for a unit filler, but I guess it's in a large goblin unit anyway. I'd make the base really busy and crowded with skulls and victims to blend it into the unit more. You could alternatively use it for an arcane fulcrum in Storm of Magic.
Love the mini arachnarok, what rules will he use? The new Storm of Magic book contains rules for several spider sizes.
Keep up the great dedication to your theme. Some jungle-themed Savage Orcs wouldn't be out of place either![]()
Allright.
No, I havent forgotten about these guys. Gotten a new lightbox so I thought I could do some experimenting with it. As you can see I still suck at making photo's but I think I might be making some progress into it. :P
So, some WIPS about what I am working on at this very moment. I got a few days of so I might actually be able to finish and share some more stuff with you guys!
As always, C&C is most welcome!
Arachnarok, all still basecoats, but it will give you an idea.
The little Big Boss from last time:
And a new Fanaconda... this time with a giant spider (arms not done yet.)
Hope you guys liked it.
Best regards (and some delayed happy new year :P)
Danny
Not much of a update perhaps, but at least I managed to get some proper pictures of that boss and fanatic.![]()
And a bad quality pic as a sneek peek of how the army stands at this very moment.
(Note the extra 20 Classic Forest Goblin Spearmen I managed to get my hands on! A solid block now!)
What u guys think? C&C most welcome!

I still like the theme and the execution thereof. Army shots are always good to see and it does not look to bad, more than half of a huge horde done.
Where is the mask the boss is wearing from?
Still a lot of work, good luck![]()

@ Little Joe: Thanks buddy! The mask is from the Shaman from the Arachnarok set, combined with some lizardmen bits. The body and right arm are from a Arachnarok Forest Goblin, the left arm is from the Spider Rider Command set and the Hand Weapon is plasticard.
I could make some more proper army shots once I get some more done. Planning on removing the paint from the metal forest goblins and getting another 20 Classic Forest Goblin Bowmen from a friend.
@ Urgat: Thanks mate! And indeed...but in the end it's going to be worth it! ^^
Very nice, I love a good theme on a army!![]()

Hey guys!
Time for a big upgrade, literally.
Upcoming weekend I am planning to encounter in epic (practise) battle with these little goblins! That means I had to work hard for some serious upgrading.
Meet my standard core!
50 Night Goblins, upgraded from 30
50 Common Goblins, upgraded from 35
(Note that many models are freshly undone from their previous paintjobs!)
36 Common Goblins with spears, upgraded from 20
(Note that many models are freshly undone from their previous paintjobs here too!)
(more on the next post!)
And a new edition to the army, the BSB (WIP obviously!)
And, finally a core overview:
What do you guys think?C&C, as always, most welcome!
Next up:
- 36 Archers (or 2 x 24, not decided yet...)
- PAINTING!!!
Best regards,
Gnarkill (Danny)
Well, you got even more forest goblins to paint than I do is what I think(I've got all these lovely metals, plus a swathe of plastic riders sans spiders, packed in a zipper bag, and I got to admit I'm a bit weary of painting gobs these days. All kinds together, I probably have 300 left to paint ><). ANyawy, good luck to you, you'll get more constructive comments when you'll have put some paint on

Cool! I have a forest goblin contingent for my Warmaster O+G army.
I love the Otherworld spider - as a D&D player, I'd recognise that model anywhere.
Keep up the good work - those metal goblins must have cost you a fortune on e bay.
