    Looking good man, glad to see some more Dwarves being painted.

    I like the Lord, but I have one suggestion. It looks like you've got a little of the gold on the beards in spots. It will look much better if you clean things up just a little bit.

    No wonder that you thought 2nd ed 40K sucked. You weren't even playing it.

    This looks fantasic, my suggestion for the griffion is to paint it like it was an eagle brown fot the top of the feathers, white for the head and hunder the wings then yellow for the claws and talons. thats my suggestion.

    Re: Alsharoth's Dwarfs and High Elves.

    Seeing lots of Dwarves makes me happy

    Your project for 2 armies (guessing about 4000pts- 2000 each) is bold and ambitious. I like it. A lot of the High Elf figures look really good nowadays too.

    To me, the Mantic Dwarves look more like Judge Dredd meets Visionaries (weird 80s sci-fi cartoon) meets Squats. Seriously, the Mantic Dwarves could easily be sci-fi figures with very little work. I like them, but think that the stylistic difference between them and the GW figures is too much to work. IMO I think you should choose Mantic or GW.

    Looking forward to more posts.

    Thanks for your other comments but I don't know what you have been watching as Mantic bear no resemblance to aether of those !

    No pics as I forgot the camera <_<
    The rumour of painted models rolling better is true.
    Had a 2000 pts game and instead of a total loss I suffered a marginal loss (less then 100 pts difference)
    Just trying to get the rest of my thunderers painted so they can all have there bath.

    Re: Alsharoth's Dwarfs and High Elves.

    Well been working on the Mantic dwarfs (82 in one go)

    Played 3 2000pts games using them since I opened this log.
    Results are as follows

    Win. = 1
    Loss = 1
    Draw = 1

    Could be worse as so far the mantic cannon is yet to hit anything.

    Cool minis... But. Is that even a mouse? It looks like a horrid transformers mouse of some sort! Yeah I've been thinking to buy a new mouse on my new computer as well... Gotta find something cheap and 45 pounds (in euros 60€) Is quite a lot above from my wares.

    Also, nicely done metal, hope I could do super drybrush techniques but my big brush is lost.

    It's not a mouse its a R.A.T 3! lol, its the baby models but still expensive but great for photography and art.

    The dry brushing is easer they you may think and so is the metals.
    Just a cheepish nylon flat brush, water with a drop of washing up liquid and kitchen paper to clean of most of the paint and that's it.
    Splash on the mudd and a quick dry brush and seal.
    to paraphrase the cook,

    "Dwarf, done!"

    I struggle with concentrating on models (why this log went dorment) so a quick simple way of doing things that look effecting is what I seek.
