Great reports again.
Easy to follow.
Edit: just a note than when you roll s 1 for waaagh that it's still a squabble result and they can't move.

@TheSanityAssassin: it was 6-7 hours for both games on that day. It was taking us a while as we're still getting used to 8th Edition games, and I'm also still learning a lot of the Skaven special rules.
@Malorian: I think what happened was the units both passed their test for waagh (one of the units had a Black Orc General - so I think it was an auto-pass). But then they rolled 1 for the distance they moved forward. Not an Orc player myself so may not have understood it fully![]()

you can't move backwards on a waagh move either as its supposed to be towards the nearest enemy (i think?!)
So we had another day of gaming over the Bank Holiday weekend. This time we finally made it up to a higher pts value (hence loads of unpainted Skaven - I'm not that fast a painter!). It was a great day, with plenty of close (and funny) moments.

P.S. I'm experimenting with hosting these battle reports (and their pics) entirely on warseer as my own domain hosting account is struggling with the bandwidth required. Hope it doesn't lose any of the good points people liked about the "old style" reports. Over the coming days/weeks I'll be moving the old reports onto Warseer as well so any suggestions for improvements please let me know and I'll consider them.

If it's hosted here there really isn't a need to have two threads.
Either the battle reports should each be in their own threads, or you could post them all in one with links to them in the first post.

A shining example of how battle reports should be done. A+++ will read again.
I wrote this one up ages ago, but forgot to link it to this thread:
30th January 2011 : 1500pts Clan Skrit vs Orcs & Goblins

So we managed to get in a game today using the new O&G rules, and not only that but featuring an Arachnarok Spider. Impressive model I have to say. Might just have to get one myself as an amusing side project at some point.
6th March 2011 : 2000pts Clan Skrit vs Orcs & Goblins

Another report for your perusal. This time a slightly larger game than normal (for us), to allow us to try out some larger units.
12th March 2011 : 2500pts Clan Skrit vs Orcs & Goblins

Another Skaven report. Quite a short game, but very enjoyable.
12th March 2011 : 2500pts Clan Skrit vs Vampire Counts
I've just bought the new TK book. Still reading through and I'd probably have to do a bit of work on the army just to field the models in 8th (haven't really used them for a couple of years now) but watch this space for a battle report or two.

Two new reports - which should hopefully be completed sometime tomorrow.
26th May 2011 : 2500pts Clan Skrit vs Orcs & Goblins
29th May 2011 : 2500pts Clan Skrit vs Wood Elves
Any thoughts on things that could have been done better, please let me know.
yeah, stop teasing me (us?!) by posting the skeleton of the report with no meat on it, i'm not an undead fan... gimme the reports!!
seriously though, these are my favourite reports on here (and by extension anywhere on the web i guess), love the use of battle chronicler. the only thing i'd possibly think about changing is the positioning of the pictures and put it after the text about each turn. that way you could just about avoid seeing whats happened before reading it, which would increase excitement/tension. but really that's just personal opinion and nitpicking a bit.![]()
