It´s very special that is for sure, the rust is very nice and honestly it looks like these have been used as boates out on the sea for a thousand years or so.
But i suggest you weather the weapons and the sails they are just to clean to fit the other part, do that and it will do wonders.
Good luck, and i will keep my eyes open for updates

the sail too? considering its aetheral, i'm not sure weathering the whole thing would be a good idea...

i did consider painting a green pattern on it, to give it a feeling of energy

Not ethereal, but aether-propelled. As far as I know, aethersails capture the solar/stellar/webway winds the same way the bigger Craftworld aethersails do.
So they can be as weathered as you want them to be.

OT, your weathering technique is incredibly good!

Well i just feelt that it´s all so dirty and the sail are clean as if they have never been used before, but mabey they change them everyday before taking the sweet old boat for the usual drive around the city
But you do as you want of course, that is just what i tried if i were you.

well, damnit, to me it was the same (hey, i'm a fantasy player after all :P)

So the energy pattern would work.... and i should dirty it up (instead of rusting it, its cool, i got some MIG weathering pigment i've never used)

The rust is cool, I just think it needs something to make it stand out more.
ie. lining in all the recesses with black or some other dark colour, like purple to match the purple guns.
Plan B kill it with fire

Color scheme for my Warrior / Wyches. the white isnt finished, and there's still detail to paint (such as glyph on helm that will be green).

I didnt want to go that edge highlight route, but i wanted to see what i could do.

Yes, I did rust the white a bit.... might need more, but its a start. I think it looks ok, but the patch color would need to be a bit more orange.

Weapon would most likely stays like that.

The question now : what color for the hairs and the leather Boots/gloves ?

here you go. Final detail completed. That's basically how i'd paint my army. Thinking about gloss varnish for the leather, so it looks like latex (and because i dont like to highlight black with grayish).

That's really nicely done. Just personally I'd do a wash of leviathan purple over the armour to tone the highlights down a bit, but that's definitely a thing of preference.the gun looks nice and the touch colours aren't overpowering and are mainly quite complimentary to the piece.

Hmm i am not sure about the weathering on the armour, becouse it´s just the white that have that, and it should be on the whole model.
But that is just my oppinion, other then that i like it.
The glowing eyes are nice and the purple look very nice too.

    Re: White Sun's Kabal

Since the rest of my army wont be here before the 30th, i started working on bases. I'm going for an industrial look, with relatively the same paint technique as my Reaver, except that i think i'll switch the white with black.

Some WIP, still considering adding more skull, rubles, etc...

nice looking bases. I'm running out of raw materials for mine. I love how tall you stacked these. I think I need to buy some textured plasticard or a tank of some kind to cut up! don't forget about TLoS... can be a bitch with tall infantry.

    Re: White Sun's Kabal

after a year long hiatus, mostly spent playing fantasy with my ogres, i got a urge to work on my "white dark eldar' again, especially after my wife's present (Wrack's and Hellion's box), and the not-so-recent-anymore release of the venom.

    As of right now, i currently own the following model ;

2 Heamonculis (one being the special character)
    1 Archon (metal...)

    10 incubis (in metal too)
    5 Wracks

    20 wyches
    10 warriors

    5 Hellions

    3 raiders
    1 ravager

my plam is to get at least 3 venom, and 3 extra boxes of hellion (to use with baron).*What else could/should i consider getting?

    Great bases!
Can't wait to see them painted with miniatures!
