Thanks Jormi, yeah I find they make great gifts. Okay, so its been awhile since I've painted anything, but I managed to finish a Valkyrie for my friend Lea. Hopefully I'll get some more stuff done soon too.

The saint is really, really nice and I especially like the Wood elf you have done.
Is it different techniques to paint very big models compared to the smaller ones?

I would never have thought of painting models as a present, if I get good enough I might do that too

Thanks Shush. Yeah, for bigger models, you don't need to do as many layers of blending, because the natural light will cast more larger shadows by itself, making it unnecessary to create the illusion of shadows.

So my friend bought some models at a garage sale and one of them was Galadriel. So I painted her for my Mom.

Nice girlies you painted there, hope your mom liked it. The skin on the valkyrie looks good, interesting model there.

Is this a Galadriel from the old LOTR range?

Thanks Little Joe, I'm not sure where shes from, she isn't a GW mini and she came in a pile of other loose minis from a garage sale. I'm pretty sure she is Galadriel though.
