Those las cannon teams are awesome.

While i dont mind my autocannosn on tripods the Las cannons look far better on a carriage.

I am fully aware Im making INFANTRY updates, in order to curb my armour-favoritism and finish this "core" army but, today, something happened... let me give you some foreword:


As part of our marriage agreement, to be further know as Pax Matrimonica I will not buy any new "toy" untill, all the stock is assembled and painted (loophole!! second hand is not new)

So, searching in my bitz box, I found enought sprues to make 2 Leman Russ MBT and 2 Leman russ bodies (picts or it never happened)




My idea is to make two MBTs Inspired in this monster and two gun plataforms maybe bombards, maybe something like Tinners or maybe some SU-203

So, I owe you: an infantry foot platoon (tomorrow update) to finish infantry and
then: 4 SPAAG, 4 MBTs, then a Vendetta and 4 C.A.S. units and then, this heavy guys.... and i thought this would be easy.

Look forward to the KV1 knock off, alot of people have used the KV1 design for the steel legion Ragnorok, so you should do a google search for that for some ideas.

In a few hours, our poll will be closed, but unless something out of the blue happens will be having a lot of instruments to tune around in the guard.

(The 9K111 Fagot [Russian: 9K111 «Фагот»; English: bassoon] is a SACLOS wire-guided anti-tank missile system of the Soviet Union. "9M111" is the GRAU designation of the missile. Its NATO reporting name is AT-4 Spigot.)

In other train of thoughts, an update about my progress:

Firts of all I know im far behind out time schedule but, I run out of supplies for the Rifle Platoon and Bitz tend to take their time to arrive (we need pig iron helmets [20] and NCOs heads too [20])

So, in order to keep this army rolling thru; during the time the supplies arrive we will be working on:

1.- Autocanons (post 15) for B Platoon.
2.- Obyekt-6 BULAT (MBT).
3.- Obyekt-2 BOYARD (MBT based on bitz box).
4.- Political Officers.

By the way, Im using space marines ammo pouches and catchan ammo pouches; so in order to haste my work I must ask: ¿is any body able and willing to lend a hand to a fellow wargamer?

payment is an option; but all the nuances of the above request deserve some PMs

The Chimmeras and the hellhounds had been primered so, pre shading of the units is in progress

First CCS Chimmera.



I had in hand some tamiya Olive Drab (XF-74) (a nicely dark one) so, I started the process.

What is pre-shading? And what should it result in?

@Sheep: Thanks sir!! Im recently (this project) using an airbrush, so many things will still be done by hand.

@Evil Steve: as I see it, the only dunce question is the one that is keep for unanswered for being untold

"... Armour see lots of wear and tear in regular use. The surfaces, often have uneven wear, with the center of the surfaces (plate armour for example) becoming lighter than the edges. To recreate this wear on models, we use the pre-shading method. The panel lines on the model are first darkened, then over-sprayed with the base color."
