Lovely stuff. You should get a box of the Perry's's' new plastic knights, even if they might not be completely historically accurate.
That being said, how you paint your blue? It's nice and rich.

I was talking heraldry. There it doesn't matter if it's a black eagle on a yellow field painted by Rembrandt or by a five year old, the heraldic device is still "black eagle on yellow field" for them both.

There would have been plenty of knights taking part of their household on crusade so it look great
I love the models, they are painted beautifully and look very evocative! I wouldn't worry about the differing sizes of horses because by the time the latin princes got their forces to the holy land not many horses of the origional horses would still be with them, so it kind of makes sense for them all not to have their big destriers.
are you tempted with some dismounted knights? they could also look stunning![]()
There once was a buggy AI.

That sadly the cake was a lie.
Fantastic work!
Couple of questions: how did you make your own movement trays, and where did those Spearmen come from?
Also, nice to see you "tested" Elf shields for me - I was debating whether they would look right on Gripping Beast Byzantines as kite shields, but you've confirmed it!![]()
I must have some of the comments on this. As to the two yellows with the same heraldry. It was my intent that the one with the mail was the knight and the other without the mail was in the service of the knight.
The blues are all Vallejo Model Color blues, I start with a dark prussian blue, highlights are dark blue, medium blue and 50/50 blends inbetween.
Yes, but probably not with this army, as I will be switching to a new army all out of Fireforge plastics. That said I will make a few additions to this army, but I probably will not make it much larger.are you tempted with some dismounted knights?
I have a tutorial on my blog, and a matter of fact there is 5 parts to it, the following is a link to part one: http://psychosispc-themadhouseworksh...of-making.htmlhow did you make your own movement trays
They are Perry Miniatures, metals and most are with the elf shields. That's the only thing elves are good for.where did those Spearmen come from?![]()
