Nope - pg 10 of the rulebook "Any monster may be spawned out of any spawning point, regardless of how the spawning point is named or themed."

Interesting - I'd never noticed that.
I've never played it like that, and it does feel a little wrong doing it that way.
i've always had Dragons spawn from Egg Clutch's etc.

I've missed so many rules in that rulebook... Oh well, I don't think changing that would have made a big difference on games anyway. If anything it would give the consul an advantage, and I find games seem in their favour anyway.

Just a heads up - Miniature Market (a really nice gaming store in the U.S.) has SDE on clearance (!) for $50. (!!)

I really can't fathom why they have it on clearance, as SDE has sold like gangbusters. It was literally a little over a month ago people were clamoring to get their hands on a copy while waiting for the second run to be released.

But if you want a copy, or a second copy. Now's a damn good time to get one.

Heck, at that price I'd pick up a second copy just so I could paint the heroes in an alternative colour scheme.
Taking international shipping and customs into account, though, it's not worth it regrettably.
