Thanks for posting that picture, fluffystuff! I was only aware of the first 5 heroes previewed, and of the kobolds (hadn't seen ogres or dragons yet - cool stuff!).

All that at a pretty reasonable price point pushes this from a "would be fun" to "definitely (if I can scrounge up the cash)" game.

From that picture, it looks like the minis will be cast in plastic, right? That was another deterent for me - they're cool figures but they look like a pain to assemble and perhaps too easily breakable in metal.

^This, x10. The dwarf's axe shaft broke in the first 5 minutes :P I ended up juts doing a brass rod shaft instead. I have to be careful with the mage as well. Too much pressure, and that foot is going to bend and break.

The more I think about this, the more I know i'm going to have to pester my FLGS to order me one in

Just noticed the metal SDE figs have vanished from the Soda Pop store. Presumably the game is just around the corner. On the Gameslore site it says coming October.

I do find it a bit odd that they don't have a forum and that the SDE page hasn't chaged for months. Perhaps a web update is coming when the game is released...

SDE was meant to be on sale at Gencon but they had last minute problems at their producers factory so only had 20 copies there they raffled off. Said that they would be on sale at some event late September .

Theres a lot of news and info on their Facebook page, seems they are using it instead of updating their webpage.

Are there any pics of what the actual board looks like?

All I can find are either
-the handmade one used at cons
-some kind of loot/treasure track
-what looks like a game mat used for demos

I do like the look of this game a lot, but it's contending with two other big board games at the moment for top priority in my gaming budget. I'll have to wait and see...

The box has been put back for release again. November is being banded about as its release

Somoe good news from CMON. SDE is now on a boat and will start shipping mid november or so, preorders come with a limited edition model.

As well as has been mentioned above, they have stated on their facebook that stores, as well as the online preorders, will have access to the limited edition piece. I guess now is the time to start pestering game stores to get this in! Also, is it just me, or have they added more to the box? I swear the contents were listed as less than '50+' before, although, correct me if I'm wrong!

Hmm 44 rings a bell, but I had always thought the contents were pretty high. I think it is 52 models now.

I ordered from CMON. Wasn't sure if the limited ed piece would be in other places, and when I compared prices it was pretty much the same as other places I might order from.

I'll agree with that. ~£50 for 52 models, plus board, plus everything else is nothing to turn ones nose up at!

I was reading the back of the SDE box in the picture on their website, and man it is full of typos... I sure do hope that is not going to be the final box.

I didn't see any typos, but a bunch of grammatical errors. Doesn't exactly make it better, though.

I'm not too bothered about the box, as usually I wouldn't even look at it twice, but that's just sloppy and unnecessary.
