That Hydra turret is just plain scary! Awesome!
I also really like the psyker conversions, hilarious and evil at the same time. Are those Skaven bodies?

    Cheers,

    Re: When Grots Rebel!

I have been busy but forgot to take progress photo's

I all most finished the first Medus, and the First Chimera is also almost finished.

I have started working on the 2nd Chimera,

    enough talking here's some pics.

Medusa (the back of the cabin was undercoated before I closed the back, hopefully the undercoat will reach the back that wasn't coated before assambling, when I fully coat it)

Front showing the Rather small but cool cannon, similar to the Chimera's multi laser (steamtank 6 sided cannon)

    Back door

    Left Side

    Right side

    Top

    Front

    2nd Chimera

And some rivets on Chimera 1.

    And more Rivets

    C&C Welcome as always,

    Thanks for looking,

    Cheers Bra'tac

This looks awesome. Glad I could find the thread Do you have a group shot yet? (I love group shots taken every now and again to show how the army as a whole progresses)

And btw, when is this all supposed to be finished and painted again?

I just discover this thread, just amazing!
I support the grot's revolution for a while, but your work is one of the more imaginative I've seen for long...
The Hydra is just terrific and characters conversions rocks!
About your Chimera, you could maybe add some details inside de tracks (suspension? Escape hatches?) The vertical plates look a bit empty regarding the general detail.
Cannot wait to see this painted.
    Suscribed!

Thanks, Have to admit that I have been a long time lurker of your Waaagh ,I really should post more often ;-)
I have been thinking how to make suspension or what not, even bought model tanks to see If I could fit in their suspension (without luck) just need to find a way to make it work, Suggestions?

So after a rough week, (personal stuff I wont bore you guys with) an UPDATE!!! yeaaaaaaaaaah update! update! update!

So Melta guns and grots.... I did not had enough melta guns, and decided to keep the onces I have for my marines. (that and they are 5USD a piece at bitstores) So I did some tinkering and came up with this. (total cost 10USD for 9 "meltas")

Still need a Grot name for the weapon, suggestions?

Then the Commander, I wanted him to have both arms behind his back, but found it difficult to make it happen, (Never sculpted arms) and didn't want to start doing that now (got a necromunda gang waiting for the honours)
So I decided to go for one arm behind his back and a swagger stick in the other.

He still requires some GS work.

And last but not least some sort of a group shot

And for those who are wondering what I did with the bases

I cut up several Applause 1995 Borg Cubes

    Thanks for looking,

    Cheers,

    Bra'tac

Regarding suspension, you could make some vertical springs using electric wire, it is not very difficult to do and could be impressive.
    Just an idea!
    Any idea about color scheme?

Wow! The creativity in these pages is just crazy! I don't know where to start... the chimera is so cool and the russbot is very promising etc. But for me the whole theme of the force is the coolest thing.

Cheers man and kudos for the creativity and the wonderful results

Motivation is good, Really enjoying building this army only thing holding me down a bit is that I don't have all bits to continue with alot of things. (but boxes have arrived and new things have been build!)

Thanks! Always nice to hear that one likes my stuff :-)

So tired of waiting for the boxes/bits to arrive I sort of FLEW to the GW in Amsterdam saturday after work and got myself a Manticore (swapped 2 of 4 hydra's for the manticore in my list), started building Saturday and ended up with this.

    Track detail right

    Track details left

Still have to rivet the right track suspension and the rest of the Manticore.

today at around 5pm my neighbour rang the doorbel and gave me this

4.5 hours later I ended up with this concept

On the last pic I noticed the engines where a bit of, so I took one engine of and corrected that.
Hopefull I will be able to continue to work on the Vendetta tomorrow

Here are some pics of the Chimera's with track suspension

    Chimera 2 left

    Chimera 2 right

    Chimera 1 Suspension

So That's it for today, hopefully some new pics tomorrow, with the Handgunner boxes I can start working on the "lasguns" so maybe some pics of that this week :-)

    Thanks for looking

    Cheers

Thanks Tinfoil, and thanks for praising my log in your log and here's the favour in return

So I got a bit distracted by building and forgot to take pics, when I turned the camera on this morning the battery icon was blinking.... So I decided to take some "group shots" and then charge the camare so I can take some detailed pics later.

At this point everything in the army is build "more or less" I'm currently working on the troops as they require a lot of GS, yesterday Iv'e build the first two Veterans with Lasguns they are awaiting their backpacks which still have to be done.... more pics when the camera is charged.

    So on to the pics.

I was having look at this during my lunch break today. Great stuff! I like the design of the Medusa, and the anti aircraft tanks have that Orky anthropomorphic thing about them. Looking forward to seeing them painted

If my usual schedule is anything to go by, 5-6 hours before the tournament starts will be the first time my DW will be completely done and finished, ready for viewing!
