    Re: 28mm napoleonics

Good to know! Looking forward to seeing the Vistula Lancers! I am planning some day to do some Polish myself too. The problem is that I got distracted by the imminent release of the Perry Russians!
Which manufacturer are you going to use for your Russians and Austrians?

Well, I have Russians by Warlord and Austrians by Victrix and what I can say is: no more Warlord! Victrix also had better sets, for example French or British Infantry, but they are still not bad. So, when Perry's will release their Russians, I have to buy them too;]

Your Polish infantry is looking nice so far Bayard! I love lancers and am anxious to see yours painted up, I have a unit of Austrian Uhlans in the queue that are basecoated and need attention myself.
Perry and Victrix both trump Warlord for Napoleonics with no doubt. The two brands mix well size wise as well. Front Rank is a little large compared to them IMO but I have Front Rank cavalry that looks fine next to my Victrix infantry.

It is hald Polish, half English. Every paragraph in Polish is directly followed by its English translation.

A highly recommendable read, very well done.

Nice review Bayard! Accurate discriptions of the figs and your comparison shots are pure gold. Those shots will help alot of people make decisions on what to buy.

Bravo on the comparison pictures! Those are always very helpful when it comes to historicals, especially an era that is so well covered by many companies as Napoleonics are.

    dziękuję dla porównanie bayard

This comparison shows, what I always thought that the perrýs are the masters of this craft ! Although the front rank ones have some charme to them too.

Nie ma za co You're welcome
I like Perry's, but if someone wants to create a unit in more varied poses (like me), I think old Victrix is much better

Yes, thanks also bayard. I think I'm going down the route of mixing Victrix and Perry, but I'm still at the planning stage for now...
