Raeho's Massive Space Marine Orgy

Hello people

After some positive reactions from my friends, I have decided to start my own project log. One important thing to know before reading further, is that I have a very short attention span, which is why I own (or will own), forces spanning a grand total of 11 chapters.

Armies with a substantial amount of forces are
Grey Knights (almost 2 companies)
Raven Guard 3rd/5th (1 and a half companies, all resting in a box with their paint jobs in various states of being stripped)
Legion of the Damned (40 legionnaires)
Iron Hands Clan Sorgaal
Doom Eagles 3rd
Iron Knights 1st

And miscellaneous
Deathwatch
Angels Sanguine 8th
Exorcists 3rd
Space Sharks 2nd, maybe
Flesh Tearers 4th

Hopefully this log will help me in finishing my planned lists for all these guys (which takes most of them up to company level), so without further ado, here's some pictures of the guys in charge. Which one is your favorite?

From left to right, we have Silas Alberec of the Exorcists, the Iron Knight 1st captain, Mr Gabriel Seth, my Deathwatch rpg character representing the Deathwatch, and the cork base upon which Tyberos the Red Wake shall stand on.

Very, very cool marines there. Loving pretty much all of the poses, so many great ideas.

As for a favorite.... nope, cant do it, waaay too hard to choose.

Now all we need is pics of the forces each of them lead.

I'd post pictures of their armies, but frankly I'm quite embarrassed by how much stuff is left unpainted..

The one that is almost close to completion are my Grey Knights, which was also my first army, and the Legion of the Damned, so here they are. The Legion are on top, all 37 currently painted.


Just 3 legionnaires left to go to round out the army, though I may get another 10. After that I'll work on their 2 Dreadnoughts and Land Raider, and then maybe a command squad and some terminators... You see where this goes..

I recently got distracted from finishing them by the Exorcist chapter, heres another WIP photo of Alberec. I wanted him to have a few Grey Knight references, hence the gauntlets, helmet, and text engraved on his armor. That's also my first shot at NMN, which I think isn't rather good.


Which chapter would you guys like to see done first?

"Orgy" is truly the right word... What a massive amount of marines! I bet you'd be a little bit angry if the rumours that power armoured GK won't be in the new codex are true... Anyway, the painted stuff looks great! Especially the conversions are really nice to see, my favourite has to be the guy to the left of the iron father.

As for the thing in the pic... I can spot a Reaver titan! Woop woop!

Good eyes on the rest of you guys. I'm resolutely finishing my last 3 legionnaires and hopefully a dreadnought this week, before starting anything else. Discipline, discipline discipline...

I was going to say nice things, but try as I might I can't see any Eagle warriors. Paint eagle warriors and this log will be one of my favorite.

and on a serious note: some very good stuff on here, I really like the fact that you've tried to make everything look 'different', with so many models thats not exactly an easy thing to achieve.

Rules wise he he's got

1x Power Weapon
1x Flamer
1x Twin-linked Bolter
2x Plasma Pistols
2x Servo Arms
and he's mounted on a bike, with 7 weapons he's the most heavily armed marine I own. He's packing more heat than a combat squad!

All you're comments are greatly appreciated, now if you guys would like to see a specific chapter out of the 11 done first, just post it up here and it shall be done!

These are fantastic! Where did you get the arms for the Exorcist captain? I've been planning a similar pose for my new Blood Angels captain and fancy gauntlets would really make him stand out from the rest of the army

The gauntlets for the captain are the FW mk3 arms, just cut them off and attach them to other arms.

There are some lovely minis there. Can't pick a favourite, but well done! Love the bone coour you achieve - really nice.

A little constructive criticism? Couple of what look like mold lines on a couple of models detract from an other wise great job, and I personally see the eyes blending into the helmet alittle. Maybe a light wash of the appropriate colour would add definition? Also just noticed between the cables on the axe on the Iron Father seem indistinct? A quick Black wash between them would help them i reckon.

Just minor points, but the rest looks really good, so the minor, picky things stick out to me.

Noted about the mould lines, I remove them now when I see them.

With 1 legionnaire down and 2 more to go, I decided to assemble my first Carcharodons. This is a tactical squad, which have bolters for half of them, and chainswords for the rest. In keeping with their ancient-ness, I decided to make the army entirely out of older marks of armor.


They don't seem to use codex markings, so I was going to have squads share the same tattoo design, similar to how I differentiate my Grey Knight squads.
