One more legionnaire to go before I put up pictures of the whole force.
@sartarius: The Chaplain has the Damned Sergeant's head, a shoulderpad and crozius from Lemartes, a forgeworld shoulderpad from something, I had it lying around. The armor's from the death company and sanguinary guard boxes.
@bigcheese: I have plans for a terminator company when the plastics come out. Gotta finish painting the bunch before April though, I don't need more unpainted stuff.
Great looking marines. Look forward to seeing how this blog progresses.
Your views much appreciated as I need all the help I can get!

It's good to know there are others like me who just love marines!
I finished the legionnaires save for the basing, but I won't be able to put up pictures of them since I'm leaving for work soon, and by the time I get back it'll be dark, so I'll post up the whole force tomorrow.
To tide you over, here's a picture of some of my other conversions. The Iron Hands are pretty old!
As you can see, I love my techmarines. In my army, only the leading Iron Father gets to wear Mechanicum red, hence why everyone else is in black. The Doom Eagle is the 10th company captain, with relic blade and storm bolter. He's a nice break from all the guys with claws flying around.

Also, in acknowledgment of his fan club, Chaplain Raphael has agreed to pose for a little model shoot. So here he is alone in all his glory.
Such a pretty smile.
Who could resist a smile like these? What colors did you use for the helmet if I may ask? It looks like you used quite some lairs to get this result (which looks very good).
The bone is a Khemri Brown basecoat, Then highlights with Kommando Khaki, then washed with Devlan Mud, Then Bleached Bone.
So, my first real update today. Here is a full shot of the Legion of the Damned! The last 3 guys holding up everyone else are in the far right corner of the second picture. An absolutely useless army, but damn if they won't look good when they make their appearance. This army is for apocalypse, and their organization is based on the old datasheet.
I also did a test mini for the Carcharodons, including seeing if I was able to freehand their shark symbol and their maori tattoo designs. Turns out it's possible for me, though when I do it for real I'd be a little less messy. And make sure the shark isn't lopsided.
What do you guys think of the armor color? Is Codex Grey too light? I was torn between using that or Adeptus Battlegrey.
I think it fits the sharks, as sharks are bright in real life. but who cares about reality?
In my opinion, Battlegrey would look much better.
And to the rest: keep going! Don't stop being awesome!
ALL HAIL TO THE EMPEROR, AND A HAIL OF BULLETS FOR CHAOS!
My proud Space Marine Army - in Hawk Tourqoise!
Hindendwarf - Stumpenz, Machines and Beer!
I'm doing commission work! Feel free to PM me!
Dude, great paint jobs... thats talent.
Yea I decided to redo him with Battlegrey. I'll post a picture up when he's done. With the new BA kits coming out, now may be a good time to get back to the Angels Sanguine. No use owning Stormravens if there's nothing to jump out of them am I right?
On another note, I have actually tried to have a goal to work towards in painting, by making a 1500 point list for each chapter. For the Angels Sanguine for example, they'll have a couple of Assault Squads, couple of Stormravens and a couple of Furiosos that I have yet to paint, so hopefully I can finish the 20 Assault Marines before the new stuff comes out. Whenever that is.
Ye can use the Stormravens for your Grey Knights! =D
Gorgeous servants of the God emperor you have there.

If I had my way Zack, all my Grey Knight Terminators would be mounted in Land Raiders, and the Knights in powered armor all fly around in Stormravens.
I think I'm rather close to the first option actually! Obviously I have to paint my Land Raider fleet, but the thought of doing it by hand makes me feel like stabbing forks in my eye.
edit: I actually think it sucks that there isn't a Grey Knight pilot model in the Stormraven kit, it's just the same guy painted silver. Disgusting.

I'm sure if ye asked nicely, Hao Ming will let ya use his airbrush / he can spray your tanks for ya. Either that or ye can go the whippin' boy route and paint it all by hand![]()
Ooor you can ask Dom for one of those Montana sprays... which reminds me, I gotta show you guys the gold 'nids that those darn sprays made...
I want to put some art on the side of my Land Raiders, so it'll probably be by hand.
On another note, here's my first Angels Sanguine sergeant. One down nineteen to go. The red highlights don't seem to be very obvious here.
And just to show the massive marine orgy does not always have to be about marines! A Callidus Assassin to break up the monotony.

This is an awesome log. You have so many models it just makes me wonder if you own one or two small countries.

Hey Bern, nice to see your stuff online!
Never seen the space shark before, but those tribal tattoo signs are looking great! I'm assuming its still a WIP as the gray looks a bit patchy.
Naturally, I've subscribed.
Cheer!
[My Project Log. Latest update 13/04/2012] - [Putty's General Project Log] - [Raeho's Massive Space Marine Orgy]Funniest/coolest line I've read on Warseer! And a pretty good description of the plogs above.
It should be noted that most of the sawing off and/or dremelling of metal helmet and shoulderpads was done by easternheretic, since I lack the necessary tools/expertise to do it myself. Truly the servants of the Imperium are many. And yea, the grey is just a WIP testing which color I like more. I got sidetracked again, no surprises there, but mostly because of the Stormraven releases, and I'm waiting for Tyberos.
Lousy work timings don't allow me to paint very often, but I should have tons of free time in a month or two to hopefully allow me to burn through my backlog.
