That's gotta hurt doing the splits like that

    I think he's a bit over-extended for the pose you're going for.

Fair point, it does look a bit strange but its too late to change now - I spent half an hour pinning it in 6 places last night. From the admitedly poor pictures (they were rushed beacuse I am sick and shouldn't be on the computer - mum was out) what do you think of the weathering etc?

Picture is a bit blurry to pick out weathering details. Besides the red gore blood splatters, what else is there? Maybe armor chips? (wasn't sure, thought maybe there were specific designs from the pic)

Frankly, if you're going to have that much blood splattering...why is it just on the tunic? Shouldn't it have also splattered on the armor/weapons? Unless that's not blood?

It does go up the legs - they are working as fast as they can to stop the summoning of a terrifyingly powerful khornate deamon - the level of blood is huge - it is flowing up from the ground because the power of the deamon is becoming so strong. I will add a bit more around the axe arm though. The chips on the blue is done with black splodges in the cuts of the armour and in other places with gun metal painted over the top showing round the edges but using bestial brown when over the black areas. I will add some more blood to the legs as well as it does not show very well at the moment.

There's nothing that says "Assault!" like a good ol' sprinty Librarian. Kudos, even though the pose is a bit over the top. When are you starting on the next? And how many are going to be in the squad anyway?

There will be eight plus - all as over the top as this one (or certainly dynamic). I will begin conversion work on the next few tonight so more pictures by the weekend.

I'm afraid i do not know - a search on google might bring something up. They are in the UK white dwarf with the nids vs guard battle report when the 4th edition codex came out.

It looks like he's jumping up some steps as fast as he can, great dynamic pose! I'd suggest working on your camera skills though, picking a different backround(for example, a white sheet) would help a lot.

Can't wait to see more, I really think that's one of the best dynamically posed models I've ever seen.

I agree I do indeed need to work on my camera skills quite considerably, these were however rushed - They still aren't any worse than normal though . I will take some more now he he he.....

Also they are no longer Iron hands - just a something founding chapter of the iron hands. Probably a AD MECH style red in the scheme with black shoulder pads, silver trim...

EDIT: Second thoughts i will on friday when i have more time to take pictures and practise till I get some good ones.
