Good colours on that venom.

impressed that you've managed to blend the blue glow into the yellow baseplate, doesn't look easy.

I might add a little more white where the jetwash meets the engine to differentiate the effect from the hull.

After months of promising I finally deliver 10x Hellions ready to swoop in and raid some poor bastards!

The skyboards I kept in The Kabal of Endless Twilight Scheme, but the riders I made in a unique Wyche outfit scheme with more Warlock purple in it. I experimented more heavily with tattooing in red on these guys. I think it worked well.

Again I used resin statue heads from Scibor and Lazer Muzzle flashes from armorcast as exhausts.

Hello Everyone. I used to post here often with my previous Dark Eldar Musings. I know it's been a while but hopefully this isn't threadomancy as I have new contributions!!!

Finally I have gotten around to finishing these Conversions I started so long ago.

The premise of these Mandrake Proxies were that they were Eldar Occultists that experimented a bit too heavily with the Dark Arts. Spellcasters that have been disfigured by a misfortunate magical accident and are now stuck in some sort of limbo serving as assassins that emerge from the shadows.

Their heads and baleblasts would glow like a green version of Ghost Rider whilst they emerge from the shadows like Shijima from Ninja Scroll.

Rules wise, in order to make these guys playable I would treat them as Mandrakes …but I'm more of a converter/painter than I am a gamer so I decided to not get too hung up on the aspect that they could be something more than just Mandrakes.

Perfect shade of green you've got on those skulls. Definitely a clear proxy for Mandrakes. Great job!

More additions incoming! Here's a Coven Raider Conversion

I wanted to do something special for my Lead Coven Raider, something unique that I haven't seen done yet. One of the things I love most about the Dark Kin is how they are just as brutal and gory as any Chaos Marine..but elegant and tasteful at the same time. Not surprisingly It really appeals to the Slaanshi in me






Most Coven raiders I have seen have gone with the theme bodies, blood, gore. I wanted to go the route of elegance, sharpness and usefulness.

The first thing that came to mind was "How the Hell are Grotesques going to fit on here". My solution was to add additional side planks similar to 3rd Edition Raiders. I also added an extra set of handles to accommodate these planks. Next I wanted to update the driver and gunner to look the part. A simple addition of Wyche helmets and slightly modified Talos surgical arms did the trick.

I created new custom armor for the side panels. My intention here was to make the Raider look more goth, more like Vampire Counts almost. Some sliced gems from leftover Eldar bits and a few hanging chained skulls help blend this addition in more naturally.

The final additions were an awesome flowing Skaven Doomwheel banner and a custom Aethersail made by splicing 2 sails together for a unique pattern.

She's on the painting table now, so hopefully I'll have her wrapped up within 2-3 weeks
