    Welcome to my blog-blog
That thing will be the the centre of my inevitable dominance of the world! Its not quite completed as it will need some more warpcondensators and a reliable propulsion system. But it's close to completion.

I painted this guy in a speed painting competition. We had 3 hours to paint a model of choice. I took 1st place!

today we are taking a minor detour. As most of you are aware this is not something new. In preperation for a demo game at a local school i had to prepare some 40k Scenery.

Of course those that read my first posts might remember the buildings. They are far from done mind you. but they will do for a game tonight. I hope you like them.

Nice High Elves and scenery. The corn and Khorne cereal fields are outstanding.

Great terrain, superb painting, lot's of variation and some nice models: Great plog!

I especially liked the coconut mat field, must keep my eye out for one myself, absolutely stunning work there.

The Void, Calamities blog of everything from tables to soldiers

    Hi Happy campers!

It has been some time since my last post. But to keep with that same theme... I have been busy!

Firstly the excuse bit; I am a daddy now so I haven't had the time or energy to post stuff. What I have been doing is paint some models. Not only that I have been reunited with all my preciousness. As my container arrived.

A lot of pictures should follow but here are some as an appetizer.

Firstly here is a storm talon I did for my 4th company Ultra's.

This one is hand painted the old fashion way. Except for a base coat with a spray gun of course. But it was done in about a day.

This pred however is my first real attempt at airbrushing. It was great fun. I might paint one tactical and the space hulk termies to make a detachment.

The only thing I need now is some good matt varnish. Which I hope to pick up tomorrow

I'll have some more pics tomorrow!

That is one fine looking tank. The weathering is great, the paint coming off at the edges, the gems are nice and shiney...great job all around!

Here is little WIP shot of a GK force sword.

I'll be doing this on The sarge of these fellows as well.

All these are first attempts at airbrushing. I sprayed s base of steel legion drab over a black undercoat. Then I sprayed one of the other not quite bleach bone colors over it at a rough 45degree angle. After some black lining I used an oil wash to get those deep shades.

It'd actually quite fast. The black spot was some strange damage to the model which I will need to fix

Wow the (death wing?) terminator looks fantastic! And that sphinx terrain is really cool! How hard was it to make it sit down like that?

Thanks! And it was not too hard. But you will need to resculpt a few things. Especially the lower buttocks needs enlarging else it looks a big weird sitting down.

You could cheat a bit by covering a log up with sand to make it look like it got covered by the sands of time

Well I had some time to go back to some models I started over 10 years ago!

These guys are part of a larger kronor merc army. I will use them as kroot proxies in my tau army.

The bodies were done when I picked them op again. But I kept the remainder of the stuff painted rough to keep in line with the rest of the army

I'll post some pics of the entire army if I get the chance

Really impressive scenery you've got there. The Sphinx is an awsome idea.

Thanks, it was quite fun to do him. I haven't been able to use him in battle yet. However I am planning to start a new project (surprise surprise) which will give me a good reason to.

My club is organising a painting challenge and competition. The idea is to present a new unit every month over an eight month period. During which you complete a 2000 point army. I have been thinking of doing a Chaos Warriors army for a while now. So it's a great way of finally getting it done.

The list I came up with is

    1 sorcerer lord on manticore
1 exalted champion on gorebeast chariot

    20 chaos warriors
    5 marauder horsemen
    6warhounds

    3 dragon ogres
    1 war shrine

    3 skull crushers
    1 vortex beast

The army will be mostly tzeentch based. With all armour looking like glass. And I plan to convert as much as possible. I am looking forward to the project. I will be doing some small side projects too so I will be busy..
