Nice work. I very much prefer these Plaguebearers over the ones from that some time around 2002 or something release (which had overall bad daemons).

I love how random the things are in your army, the crazy array of different model eras is cool. Love the army so far i will be a frequent visitor!

A very belated thank you guys.
I've mostly done Fantasy stuff recently, but I made a few conversions on marines which I thought I could show. They're standing in front of a newly painted wall for my castle.
From left to right we have an icon bearer converted from one of the monopose plague marines, a heavy bolter havoc with a new head and a new plague marine with a plastic sword (the original shoulder pad covered his face). Next we have a classic champion with plasma pistol with the sword from a fantasy marauder champion and a plasma gunner converted from an old raptor (that's why he's standing on a box like that).

Sweet. Thanks for update. Heh heh, sorry for the luck of feedback from me, I'm such a lame.
However, as I thread You as a member who like both criticism and positive feedback, I feel that I just have to say:
From left to right:
#1 - ace idea, cant wait to see it painted. I can imagine banner only in deep red colour, maybe with glossy effect.
#2 - good one, helmet looks a bit plane. Recently I played with the idea of using plastic glue for melting plastic. With only a toothpick I managed to create quite nurgley surface, fast+simple+easy. But yeah, I know - I've done only one marine while all normal and healthy people usually do a dozen.
#3 - IIRC Death Guard Havoc Champion. Good one, I'm really intrigued in how you'll paint his headskull. Left hand - too plane, but wait ... it's a a mix of several plastic kits... I'm shutting up. Ace.
#4 - How have you done the sword arm? Is there any pins?
#5 - Nice one. The helmet looks very well, horns are on the right place.
Hope one day you'll make a bearded plague marine. Typhon style.
As always , keep it up, don't forget about Death Guard.
Cheers!

Kewl! What's the arm on the monopose? Beastman? I have a vague memory of making one of those Icon bearers as well... The bolter looks odd, is it supposed to point that way?
I also think you should add a centre horn to the heavy bolter guy, the rest of them look great!

Thanks guys!
@VenomBlood: Thanks for the feedback.
1. I imagine that the banner will be the purply-fleshy colour I do, but I haven't decided yet.
2. I'll keep the hornless HB guy as is, he fits with my other heavy bolter dude.
3. Think it was sold as a plague marine champion, a friend bought it some years ago on a whim. Yeah, the left arm is a space marine shoulder pad, CSM arm, chaos warrior hand.
4. Yes, I pin all my metal plague marines. He's got one pin in the shoulder and one holding the sword.
5. It's just a normal chaos warrior head.
Who's Typhon? If you mean Typhus I haven't seen him without the helmet...
@Satan: The arm is an old CSM arm, from a kit like this:
There you see how the bolter looks originally as well, it's from an ancient space marine kit, I don't know which. Space marines had knives in those days.

If you mean the gloves it's OOP Humbrol Fantasy with a Devlan Mud wash. If you mean the armour you can find it here.

Heh, I bet we both know Typhus, my favorite DG miniature btw.
However Typhus appeared in Horus Heresy books as Calas Typhon, he was introdused as a severe man with a full beard (quite concise description). So I played with bearded plague marine idea for a while, but it never happend.
I've only read the first of the HH books...
This is a model kindly donated to me by my Herdstone friend daftgor, I didn't do a lot with it apart from giving it a new lick of paint.
I hope it was worth it for him!

Anyway, I have started a terrain plog with some of my old stuff as well as a new WIP of some marshes.

Thank you Satan (three months later... ).
I haven't had much time or energy to paint since my schedule is much more busy nowadays. However I did manage to finish the marines I started before christmas.
I'm quite happy with them, and I wonder if they'll be any good in 6th ed with a new codex?
A friend had some brand new briefcases at his work which were to be thrown out, and he immediately thought "Oh, I wonder if mrtn wants a couple of these for his miniatures?", which I did. The first of two now holds all of my chaos warriors.
The total cost for it is maybe $1 or something like that for the glue for the glue gun, the rest is free materials being recycled.![]()

A belated thank you...
Thanks to photos and posts I've gathered that the new GW Agrax Earthshade isn't really a good replacement for Devlan Mud (as you'll see in Sigur's example), but The Armypainter's Strong Tone Ink was said to be. So I bought some in my local shop and tried it out on some spaceships.
The two ships to the left have been washed with Devlan Mud, while the three to the right with the Strong Tone ink. I'm happy, and would say that any differences is probably more down to differing amounts of water and such.
Hope you like my spaceships as well.![]()

Funnily enough it's the same colours I'm using for the marins and their BFG fleet. Where are the models from?

Those spaceships' aesthetics reminded me of old pocket pc game Warfare Incorporated. Nice ships as well as paintjob though.
These 2nd ed plague marines are just awesome. I love seeing these. Combining them with figs from other editions makes for some really nice diversity. Nice job!
