    2000 Point Dreadnought Marine list

    40K Army: Space Marines
Hey all, I was just wondering what all of your impressions were of a dreadnought heavy list? I'm thinking of playing with this list just in some friendly games and I was wondering what you all thought about it, is it to powerful? Way to weak? I mean I figured numbers aren't a huge problem because there's 51 marines on the table including the master of the forge backed up by 5 dreadnoughts, one venerable, 2 dakka and 2 ironclads. Then again i suppose this might just be one of those lists that some people would have a field day against while others wouldn't have a clue of what to do..... also it is rather slow having no transports, think that was a bad idea? Anyways, advice and opinions are welcomed

Need rhinoes.. the army will be much better with rhinoes... an other drop pod so you can drop both ironclads first turn.

Basically at first glance people are going to be like, wow a lot of stuff... then they will outmanuver you and blast your army to shreds.
Maim, Kill, Maim, Burn, Kill, Maim, Burn, Kill, Maim, Burn, Kill, Bunny, Maim, Kill, Maim.....(Noise Marine found the wrong rhino)

Look up facebook group "Northwest Wargammers" if you live in WA, Idaho, Oregon!

definatley going at this wrong IMO. I say use venerable dreds with multimeltas and drop pods with deathwind missile launchers. they will take out any tank you want unless you get really unlucky. i say take 2 of those.

    drop the sterngaurd.

    drop conversion beamer.

give tac squads flamers and plasma cannons and rinos. they definitely need rinos. give one squad melta, multimelta, and drop pod with deathwind launchers.

i like the 2x TLAC dreds.

take extra armor off the dreds. i feel like they are points better spent on tac squads.

how i would work the list is use the 2 venerable dreds along with tac squad with meltas to take out tanks, while the 2x TLAC dreds pop transports. ironclad dreds come in to also try and kill tanks, or heavy flamer squads to bits.

so the list i am suggesting would look like this.

    master of the forge
    100

    10x tac squad
    rino, flamer, plasma cannon
    210

    10x tac squad
    rino, flamer, plasma cannon
    210

    10x tac squad
    rino, flamer, plasma cannon
    210

    10x tac squad
drop pod, deathwind missile launcher, melta gun, multi-melta gun
    230

    venerable dred
    drop pod, deathwind missile launchers
    220

    venerable dred
    deathwind missile launcher
    220

    dred
    2x TLAC
    125

    dred
    2x TLAC
    125

    ironclad dred
heavy flamer, heavy flamer, 2x hunter killer missile
    170

    ironclad dred
heavy flamer, heavy flamer, 2x hunter killer missile
    170

sorry about the long-winded post mate.

Grey hit it on the head. Much more dangerous than the original version. That army would be hard for a lot of armies to handle, especially in a Mech heavy environment.
