    next BL book

I have recently gotten into reading BL books after 12 years in the hobby. What book should I read next. Here is what I HAve read so far.

    Soul Hunter
    Cadian Blood
    Desert Raiders
    Grey Knights
    Legends of the Space Marines
    Helsreach
    Liber Chaotica

I'm really in a 40k phase right but willing to consider anything. Not interested at all in the Horus Heresy books either. So What next?

I think you might do well to venture into the annals of Path of the Warrior (an Eldar novel), or round out with another Chaos/Space Marine centric novel like Dark Apostle for a series (the first of the Word Bearers series, they do however get progressively better). That said, Lord of the Night is very good (the first Night Lord novel) as is Angels of Darkness (the first Dark Angel novel). For another, larger book - try The Gothic War by Gordon Rennie, as Shadowpoint and Execution Hour are both fantastic.

If you enjoyed Soul Hunter definitely hunt down a copy of Lord of the Night. It's Zso Sahaal's story, who you may remember from his brief apperance in Soul Hunter, and gives a much different depiction of Zso and the Night Haunter's last days.

I'd also suggest the Ciaphus Cain books if you don't mind your 40k being a bit less heavy and grimdark.

I'd suggest either the first Gaunt's Ghost omnibus, or Graham MacNeill's first Space Marine novel (Nightbringer I think) if you're looking for more warfare style action.

The Eisenhorn trilogy if you're looking for a more psychological, crime-thriller type of 40k book.

But if you want to venture into Fantasy, the Blackhearts Omnibus is well worth getting.

Have to read Storm of Iron. Might be the best BL book of all time.

Lord of the Night was fantastic. I didn't know he made an appearance in soul hunter, I'll have to hunt down a copy!

Eisenhorn is fantastic, so go with that and Ravenor if you're into 40k.

It's only a very brief appearance but I'd very much recommend Soul Hunter. I think it's a better Night Lords novel than Lord of the Night tbh even though LOTN has attained a somewhat classic status in the history of the Black Library.
