No I didn't have any manual. And even with a manual that howdah might as well have been made out of matchsticks.

    Re: Arachnarok

question re model. on the main model is their any of the howdah moulded to the main body? as im thinking of using the spider for somthing else. but dont need the howdah....

    Re: Arachnarok

I was watching someone assemble on of these, looks like the Howdah would be easy enough to leave off, maybe some green stuff for gap filling but should be easy enough.

Also looks like all the legs are ball and socket so should be easy enough to tyranid it up.

    Re: Arachnarok

Nope, not a trace of the howdah on the spider model (unlike with the Stegadon). The spider and the howdah even use one sprue each. It's a complete standalone model usable for whatever mad things you can think of. Combining it with a to trygon would make a great tervigon.

    Here's one without howdah.

I painted this one for the display of a shop, I'm not sure if I'm even going to glue the fragile thing on top of it as it's much easier to transport without it.

Wow, excellent work. Simply awesome looking spider, the yellow and black go great together and the eyes give it a creepy life to it. Great work

Very nice! And I'm fairly certain I can't be the only one thinking it looks like it might be quite tasty? Maybe like crab...

I can certainly picture a bunch of Ogres cooking one in a seriously large pot...

I have to admit, it looks a bit like those very elaborate birthday cakes like this: http://www.google.com/url?source=img...ZSvMc8XS5vw19g

    Awesome work.

Is it just me or does the model look better without the silly platform-catapult thingy?

Nice work! That looks fantastic. Did you use a white or gray undercoat on the spider? Someone else already mentioned it but the eyes look superb. Well done.
