Well I have started so new vehicles and wanted so input for them. I Realize that my last log was a failure. so I will try and post my progress much more. I will try and post picks a least once a week.
The first prototype is rough but you can see the general shape now.





So as you can see I am trying to make a helocopter for a counts as valkire/ vendatta. What are your guys thoughts C&C are most welcomed

It's a nice, general shape. Good for a start. Are you going to be using GS for the detail, or is this going to be plasticard?

well i got one turbine rough out, not happy with the nozzle. that is why it is tape up. I am going to rip it off and redo it.I am looking at a few diffrenet ideas. I just wanted to put up what i got done in the last few days.

Nice, nice. I suggest looking at other logs and such, mainly the Zues battle fortress thread, it has great work with plasticard and greenstuff in there

Thanks vex I have that log book marked.I might try the huey my self at some point but it has some great ideas, he is a great modeler. he is up with toomy gun and klause.

Sorry no pics tonight but I found a good nozzel ieda but i need a new heat gun so it will be a week or so before I can get it. So I will work on the weapon pods. the winglet have a steel sqaure already on them and My rare eath magnets are on the way. so I have two iedas one is to do two pods with three lascanon barrels the other is to do two barrels on the pods on the winglets and a chin mount. the thing with doing the chin mount is I could later make a weapon load to be a valc as well as the vendetta. So what do you guys think.

So i have decided to scap the scratch build I have been playing with some different ideas and they just don't work like I want them to so

I got three valkire kits and will begain to do a wip of my take on these hueyes and I think I will do the avater style but maybe beef the fans up a little So over the next few weeks I sould have the first one done also tonight i will post some wip of my counts as hydras.

Here is the first of the m113 hull and the hydra turrets

Here is the source I know I made mine way more simple but I am weak on the plastic card skill so sstarting some wheres


This will be my manticore turret but they will wait till the vendettas are done.

So I have 6 more hull in the works as well as hellhound turrets and chimrera turrets. All of the hulls will be able to take all of the turrets. But these three still need weathering then stowage added then mud lots of mud. oh yeah the lights will cast and added once the weather warms up some.

So here is the basic shape, still need to figure on the turbine and how to do the skids but I am going to paint the glass gold to go with my two stock valkires and thunder bolt. maybe later I will try a clear cockpit but for now K.I.S.S.





So what do you guys think, better then the sratch build?

So I got so more work done.


It is starting to look right I still need to get something to use a guard for the fans. My first idea didnt work out so well so I have to come up with a new idea. and I dont like the oraginal idea looks to small. so I need to go to the hardware store for ideas.

I think the vendetta looks cool, better then the complete scratch build. It should look really good when it is finished.

so I am making so good progress. As you can see I have the landing skids and the valkorie load out the weapons are magnatized so I will be doing vendetts load out as well. what do you guys think?

So no coments.. well here is an update the tanks need stowage add and then the camo net the mud I think came out well and I have the first of 66 troopers al most done. The list I am working on is 1850


this will be a vet with a shotgun and demo charge. I still need to work on the shoulders but you should be able to get the idea

So any thoughts... The only plasma will be the comander. The vendettas lascaon will be model to look like a tow missle system and all chimeras will be duel heavy bolter or have a heavy flamer still not sure on the set up

So, here goes. Your flyers look like vietnam meets avatar , and i think thats good !
They are also about the right size for the 40k scale.

AA tanks also looking good.

That vet. is also a great build. Like his rifle Have you cast these too ?
What colos scheme will you use ? Will you go vietnam here too ?
