Well it fits in better with the GW marauders than his other marauder model, because it's got the rather OTT muscleman look (just with more detail). I would prefer to see him do a range of plastics that matched the rather more lean and realistic looking guy.

    Still, it's an ok model.

It looks very Frank Frazetta. I'll have to get one just for that reason.

I shall call him "Pain Dealer".

I like him, easily as nice as the other Marauder. Wish the chaos warrior was as good.

Fantastic model. Easily the best barbarian model I've seen in a long while.

I think the only problem people might have is ranking him up with their GW figs. It depends how far back into the corner of the bas the flail points- it looks almost perpendicular to the side of the base, which could cause issues.

I had similar thoughts. Picking this one up hopefully when I next get something from AoW.

Overall I would say it's a very good model, definitely one of the better human figs.

However one which which does bug me is the anatomy of the shield/axe arm, the musculature is incorrect for the hand position. If the hand was turned through 90 degrees to the left (viewer's left) then it would be correct. As such having the hand in that positon would mean the bicep would be facing up and the tricep facing down, this would also mean that the deltoid group would be more stretched, running over the top of bicep to connect on the lateral side of the humorous.

Don't you work for them, Rikard? Is the sculptor a rival of yours?

I think it looks like the arms was sculpted for the shield first, with an optional axe hand added almost as an afterthought. If you are irritated by such oversights, then this model is probably not for you. The muscles aren't right, but it doesn't really bother me that much, either, so I'll still get him. Just as soon as the economy picks up.

Felix is not a rival, I only did one commission piece for him, what I said above was just a critique.

It's not a bad model, but they have ripped it straight off of Blizzards concept art for Diablo 3!!!!

I mean, can they do that? It's not even a likeness, it's the same thing!!!!!!!!

    Re: AoW37 Marauder Warlord

Lol! Good find. When did Blizzard release that artwork?

    Re: AoW37 Marauder Warlord

That art work has been out for quite a while. Maybe a little over a year ago, perhaps more. The sculpture is far too close to the artwork for it to be mere chance.

Could he get into trouble for plagarism, do you think?
