Honor Guard conversion pack
quite a fan of them. they look pretty cool for such a simple conversion.

Any idea what the point of these is? I doubt it's a new troop type as the conversion pack's made of components from different models - and we'd have heard about it by now if it was.
maybe for a GW france campaign? I have no idea, but those are cool conversions.
In the new codex, you can take BS4 Fire Warrior veterans as an 'honour guard' for your ethereals.
I quite like these. I kinda pictured them having flags/banners on their backs, not like imperial-stylee, more like fuedal Japan/Ronin style.
in the codex, the ethereal can get an honor guard. basically fire warriors with better stats at a little point increase. so it is a 'new' unit, but without 'new' models.Originally Posted by Charax

What's that piece that they're using as loincloths?
I knew she'd come back to me. Ever since my experience points went into triple digits I've had to keep the ladies and valkyries off with a 2 handed plus 3 broad sword.
I think that's from the Dire Avenger box
it is... Vengeur - Pagnes = dire avenger

Nice set. Not so hot on the use of the large Stealsuit jetpack aerials. The old 2nd ed era Wolfscout backpacks might look good on this with some trimming. Might be an idea to use the loin cloth to distinguish Shas'ui's in regular FW units. Hmm.....

I like them, but a bit pricey...
The idea of shasimono's (sp?) is good though - I may have to use this myself.
What is in a name? An Ork by any other name would still see us as meat.
From what I can see, they're quite nice. The picture could be bigger though.
likeng the use of the Dire Avenger stuff, but that back pack does look slightly wrong.. i think you could make a better one out of other componants
That's very nice, although I would have just stuck the loin cloths on them and not bothered with the other components
I don't like the conversion, they just don't look tau.
The loincloth is a good way of making them stand out a bit, never have been keen on the tau fetish for aerials, so I'd probably not bother there.
They look good, its just given me ideas for a conversion of my own.
I was just going to paint them a different colour, but now I'll order some Dire Avenger loin cloths and Khandish warrior banners and do some converting.
at last, we got a skull on a tau!!!
greetings Badger
I like the look of them, it makes thwem look a little more original, but i daresay a different backpack would make them look even better
