    Pre heresy Imperial Fist

Here we are, somes of my project ended (my Blood in particulary), I needed again something to make and especially which isn't red....
And inconveniently, I found a thread with IF ERA, and there it is the drama.
So i start this ERA army because the yellow is never used and rather complex color.
Thus here is my test before investing in the army:

It's a WiP (unless the legs).

    Thank
While I'm searching bitz to finish my test figurine, I dashed into the realization of a vehicle:

Only the yellow is worked, 2-3 details are just missing to polish up it....

PS I have just seen that it had defects on the helmet there, but as it is about "recycling" and what I wasn't able to cleaned, we shall make with

I really like it, the yellow is bright, but the weathering helps dull it down just enough and is very well done!

Weathering is fantastic as it stands. Any higher and it will look like he has been trudging through sewage, which is a problem many people face when weathering.

A pleasant surprise this evening by returning work, a "box" from Fw....
Thus here is my true first ones pre heresy (with a first coat of slop):

I try a new guile of paint, remain to see if that will be as well as the test.

Beautiful. Yellow is so hard to execute correctly, but you've done a wonderful job. Very nice.

    Re: Imperial Fist ERA

Your yellow looks great. The amount of weathering on the models you've painted so far looks just right. I like the "old school" look your creating on the "new" rhino.
Oh... and lose the missile launcher. It looks pretty dump and Codex Marines can't use a havoc misslie launcher anyway.

Wow, I love your painting. What do you mean 'stamp'?

Drybrush? Styple? Just a base coat of scorched brown, then just paint on vermin brown? I'm sorry I don't understand, but if it's that simple, then you sir are a genius.

I love your rhino's. I really can't wait to see more. This is the kind of army that diserves to have some nice pre-heresy conversions along with some old RT era models like jet bikes, rapiers, robots and maybe some old dreadnoughs.

    Yep, that's true
    What do you mean 'stamp'?
    Drybrush?
Yep, i've not found the right word...
Just drybrush with vermin brown, and after drybrush with scorched brown (les than vermin brown)

Well here is the first "truth" IF of my army:

I not make a correct photo of the model, thus it doesn't produce as well as in the truth.
On the other hand I think that the weathering is too much pushed, but well I'll catch up occasionally.

Era basically translates as a period of time.

I like the yellow, but it looks a little thick.

    Re: Imperial Fist ERA

Thank you for clearifiying that. I agree the weathering does look a little forced. Just remember that at this scale "less is more".

Also maybe try using a sponge instead of painting then mud on. It should give it a little more random look then painting it on.
