Bestial brown? And you didn't wash it at all? I only ask because it has such a rich dark red color to it. Really great stuff.
There is an devlan wash after the first brown layer. To get the deepest shadows. After that its increasing lighter layers all the way

Here is a rather ****** WIP pic of the griffion. Im trying to do the look natural on this one. Extremley tedious work to paint every fiber on the feathers, but hey, the result is sweet. Better pic to come when ive painted more.

Done with the character on the griffon. Never more is all i have to say. One of the most intricate models ive painted. I am satisfied with the result however.

Next project will be 5 knights

Wow! That's a very beautiful mini! I can only imagine the time it has taken you to give the wings so much detail. Very well done! Also, you did a very nice job on the character and the base...

Fantastic Griffon...I may need to buy one now for my Empire army...

I really like the feathers and the beak - you've got a really rich yellow colour there.

Lovely griffon, do you mind telling me how you painted the claws and beak? I really like the rich yellow.

Dont acutllay remember the beak but its just different yellor tones of colours from both valejo and GW. The claw is simply golden yellow and a ogre flesh wash.
The trick for yelllow is simply -white undercoat and multiple dilluded layers -

Looking great so far. The feathers on the griffon are especially well done!

Have not paintet a lot on my empire the last couple of days but I have made some progress on the minifront. Mainly i constructed the building on the pics bellow. I made it entirely of cardboard (the very hard and sturdy one you get tvsets in). I am very happy with it and it looks awsome irl. The light sucks in the pics for some reasons. Me and my pal are thinking of building an entire town this way. 2 dags building and 2 days painting is a ok timeframe for a building that is more complex than a square box.

I love your scratch built house... did you draw plans or just make it up as you go along?

    Jim

PS If you intend to use this building in games of Warhammer it will need more skulls stuck to it!!!

Army shot! Knights look fantastic too, a really solid conversion. Plans for the paint scheme?

On another note your bases remind me of Idaho, one of our western states.

Fantastic looking Knight mate, I love the freehand on the steed's armour, bloody brilliant!

Do you have any pictures of your Napoleonics or a blog for them per chance? I'd love to see them.

Nice timber fram house, the knights are looking good as well. Are they stand ins for knights of the white wolf?
`there's the King's Messenger. He's in prison now, being punished: and the trial doesn't even begin till next Wednesday: and of course the crime comes last of all.'`Suppose he never commits the crime?' said Alice. `That would be all the better, wouldn't it?' the Queen said.
