Dorn's task force and Imperial guard detachment.

Greetings all my fellow lurkers and posters of Warseer.

Well after my many years of lurking in the shadows of Warseer, Ive decided to post and upkeep a blog on my collection of 40k armies. A little about myself: Im currently in the USMC and I dont have the time on my hands like I did when I was younger but Im going to try my best to keep this up and running. So without futher ado.

Well Ive been slowly working on everything recently, kinda flip flopping between each army as I get bored of one thing..

My Black templars are about... 80% done.
The IG is in the process of a complete repaint because I got tired of the original paint scheme
And my Imperial Fists are slowly but surely coming together.. I got about 90% from Trades from childhood friends who caked the paint and glue on them years ago.. And they havent aged gracefully to say the least. But I did get around to painting a few of the terminators to almost completion.

I found out I really like painting the checkerboard pattern on models and Im going to incorporate into a lot of the Imperial Fists.. Just not too much to start looking like Lamenters. :P

The other 15 Termies are the old school 3rd ED versions but I dont have any close ups of them seeing as I havent painted them and my camera is Dead.

Wow, I just love the IF's such a nice yellow. The one thing I would suggest is clean off the mold-lines. It takes like a minute with a hobby knife and it makes all figgies over 9000% better.

As for the guard are you going to re-do them in MARPAT?

I live in Canada and I was thinking of doing a Air-Cav guard all in CadPat or MarPat, just no multi-cam.... I hate multi-cam.

Lol.. Actually.. To be honest.. They were for the most part.. In MARPAT... Then I found it to cliche' to be a Marine and have a Marine IG army..

My only fully painted 8th Cadian squad.. All my armies are going to have similar bases.. To kinda tie them into the whole " Dorn Task Force" idea.

He is removable So when I actually go out a buy the Right Leman Russ kit.. He will have a special Tank to roll in.
