What if... the Undead learned to use crossbows?
What if... the Undead learned to use crossbows?
Probably not much difference from their current state of affairs, more deaths but still the same armies, the more interesting question is what would happen if they started using gunpowder?
One chaos god subsumed the others and the entire world was made one in a single instant?
Madness is the state in which you know what is occurring around you
The Truth is out there but Lies are inside your head
The undead did use crossbows......in the storm of chaos campaign the von carsteins had hordes of them.
Now back to the matter at hand
If there was only one chaos god and the world was created at one time? It'd be easier to contain them for the old ones as it's only one god. The chaos poles wouldnt be as powerful with just one god
Settra conquered the badlands, where would he go next?
Eventually after a realm has gone down the King will declare an Erranty War and gather a mighty host. Tomb Kings will either be pushed back to Badlands or come out winners forcing Brettoni to flee into Empire lands as they continue their relentless march forwards reclaiming their old lands. Oh oh oh perhaps Mousillin (vampire realm) will get involved and adding support to the Brettoni at an important moment shift the battle and beat the Tomb Kings.
Ulthuan started to sink beneathe the seas, each year the tides getting further and further in till all was gone except the islands that contain the Sword of Khaine and the magical vortex holding back the winds of Chaos?
What if Dwarves managed to create cartridges for their guns?
Dwarfs will be able to hold more ground with lesser dwarfs, meaning more dwarfs able to mine, meaning being more able to produce more cartridge rifles. Karak Eight Peaks would be reconquered. The skaven won't take that slight lightly, so they would probably try to steal the manufacturing proces for there own means. In which the Dwarfs can no longer hold the technology for them selves and give men this new advancement to help the dwarfs against the now heavely armed skaven. A new way of warfare will emerge. If the other races do not follow, they will be wiped out.
What if: The Border Princess joined the Empire
That is till Orcs & Gobbos started plundering the guns
Sigmar came back during the storm of Chaos and battled with Grimgor and Archaon?

What if Aenarion returned and went to the Throne room of Malekith? I beleive his body was never found, so I wouldn't put it past a fantasy setting to have him as a ragged cloaked old elf who has always been in the shadows and finally ventured to Naggorth to meet with his son.
He would stomp Archie and headbutt Grimgor's *** back to the darklands, valten wouldnt even be needed, like he really did much anyways

-He would be very very disappointed and most likely seek Malekith out and talk to him and then slay him perhaps
What if the high elf armies overran the dark elf forces and made it to their shores?
What if the Treekin finally turned on the Wood Elves causing all out war?
That'd be amazing......lots of dead treehuggers.......
I think if the trees rebelled then this would assume the beastmen would have a hard time as well. Basically the woodies would be driven out and either
1: find a new home
2: Most likely after being dramatized by the rebellion they'd go back to their high elf kin
3: Live with the Brets, unlikely......
2 seems most fitting.
All of Araby served under Settra like the people in Numas do, how would things change for Tilea/Estalia?
What if... Thorgrim Grudgebearer grew tusks and horn stubs, and claimed (with regal authority) that it was a gift from the Ancestors, and that all his thanes were honour-bound to follow him in a great migration east?
What if Khorne were defeated and killed in battle?
Daemons of Chaos mentions that he leads an army himself whenever his citadel is threatened. Tzeentch for one is strikes me as being clever enough to pull it off.
I'd imagine that when enough rage and martial prowess has been shown after his death, could take days or millenia he would be reborn back or a new chaos entity that represents the emotion.
What if the Engineer Guild of the Empire developed the technology of radio waves, opening up the opportunity to communicate over great distances?
A load of carrier pigeons would become unemployed. They would place radio masts in all major fortified cities, plus early-warning stations on the borders. The empire would be better able to coordinate its defences. For example when an orc raiding party came across the border the radio operator at the border post would relay coordinates to the nearest gryphon aviary and summon an air strike. at the same time the economy would grow more rapidly as investors and traders were able to instantaneously learn the market price of given commodities in dozens of different cities. What if the Engineer Guild of the Empire developed the technology of radio waves, opening up the opportunity to communicate over great distances?
What if Skaven launched a new invasion of the Empire?
+ the empire would somehow be oblivious to the skaven even though nuln was a smocking wreck... again
What if ... the dragons in warhammer fluff did something other than get choked by spickey helmed gobbos
