Two massive structures would be built, one gleaming white tower, and one shining black tower, to stand together for all time right in the center of the island for all to see.

That is until the wood elves get pissed off they weren't invited to the party and send flocks of eagles into the twin towers to knock them down...

That, or they could build a large network of forts/castles in the north like a crown sat on top of the world to watch over the chaos wastes. This would also probably fall into enemy hands over time, like Cirith Ungol.

Severe weather changes would devastate the old world due to food shortages (the dark elves would be fine though. They have a built in immunity to needing things such as a functioning society. Their existence defies logic)
Caledor would suddenly become alot more important again
Bretonnia would find itself having a shortage of knights, as they charge off 1 by 1 to hunt down a dragon
The dwarfs would grumble into their mugs about the world just not being fair

Most likely you would still have wondering bands of ogres as they don't seem likely to be the 'fight to the last standing' type. Much more reduced numbers though. Perhaps giants wouldn't be that common place and a functioning sky titan society would still be around, lording it over what is currently ogre territory.
