What if Lizardmen got fed up with the Dark Elves raiding them and so joined forces with the High Elves in order to crush them?
Lizardmen would use their secret pathways and strike at the Dark Elves in key locations forcing them to move away from Ulthuan in some amount of numbers. This wold free up the High Elves who would win back the western shores. It would take Dark Elves with Chaos alliances to win back the shores and slow down or push back the Lizardmen assault.
What if the Dwarfs gave back the Phoenix Crown to the High Elves?
It would clash with their high heels and pink dresses, and so would be given to the ignorant dark elves instead.
WHAT IF:
All the ghosts in Sylvania got together and blitzkrieged the dwarf empire which barely has enough "magic" attacks to kill even a few wraiths let alone an army of them?
The ghosts would be defeated as the dwarfs actually have the most magic items (not in the rules but in the fluff).
What if Cathay suddenly got on the offensive and tried to conquer the world?

The Empire would be sorely pressed and Cathay would be near victory when someone steps up, somehow inspires EVERYONE and they steamroll Cathay.

A chaos lord was inflicted with vampirism and unconsequently overcame the psychological inability imposed on him by omnipresent overlords prohibiting him from dual wielding magic weapons or taking more than an arbitrarily allotted amount of magical gear? I'd imagine the Lord would be unbeatable by conventional means and would run amok in the wastes to gather a mighty host. He'd come to the Empire lay waste and I imagine some cheesy super spell would have to be cast to destroy him or halt him. I think there's nothing in the world that could face him close combat wise, unless Abhorash comes off his mountain finally finding a perfect rival to battle with - man that be epic. Great q!
In summary someone would stop him be it the "hero of light" or super spell, can't stop GW's stalemate now can we?
Malekith would have continued finding colonies in the new world, he would stir war with the dwarves who he saw as inferior so wouldn't have had his great friendship with Snorri. Eventually the epic battle would take place where Snorri defending the last dwarven lines strikes down Malekith though taking a mortal wound to do so. Elven colonies would be smashed as they get pushed back to Ulthuan. Man takes it's place as the worlds inheritors.
Kalekiths death would msot likely push Morathi over the edge who coems out in all her chaos loving fury splitting the elves into factions, one named Light Elves and Chaos Elves.
Chaos Elves would colonize New World having been pushed off their island by Light Elves. The next 10 millenia would be about the Chaos Elves influence growing and continued attempts to break through into the main land of Ulthuan.
What if the Slann Mage Priests managed to succeed in their mission to push the chaos moon Morrseib out of orbit and away from the world?

Huge tidal waves and lots of angry skaven. An overall reduction in corruption resulting in fewer Warriors of Chaos and Beastmen? Does the moon really have much of an effect?
What if the Skaven accidently (or intentionally) collapsed large parts of the World inwards?
How does the world collapse inwards? As far as I know it isn't hollow.
Yet, it isn't hollow yet, that would be the first part that makes it possible.

Don't the Skaven have tunnels under the entire world (excluding Ulthuan)?
What if:
The Dwarves changed battle tactics, every time they go out to fight an enemy, before battlen they have a huge party invite all the gobbos(orcs, chaos, ogres, empire) get them totally smashed on bugman's XXXXXXX and then have all their warriors rush out and kill them all?

The undead would kill them because undead can't get drunk and the dwarves have too few ways of killing ethereal units.
WHAT IF:
The Empire implemented crop rotation and land enclosure thereby increasing crop yields and allowing for an educated middle class, leading to a new era of technological and industrial progress.
I imagine the song 'ding dong the witch is dead' would be compulsory?
A first it would be beneficial but then there would be mass uprisings and intersocial problems for those further down the ladder as they would be hit hardest than those above by taxes to keep this new lifestyle, but if it was turned on those above there would suddenly be a backlash from those above, also the technological advances wouldnt be enough to keep up with the now lack of working classes thereby throwing the empire into disarray and leaving it easy pickings for their enemies.
