Indeed, it's definatley avaliable to DE and I think WOC can take it aswell.
I hope lizardmen get something out of this....

Hmmm Magic and Monsters??
This whole thing and pictures scream Transformation of Kadon to me!!!
Horned Dragon and Feral manticore. (We already have a hydra model available!)

TK hierotirant??? Fits with big monsters and magic![]()
Other than the usual rampant speculation/wishlisting does anyone actually have any additional info on this?
Plog of Jericho - Wood Elves, Daemons, Beastmen, CSM and Whatnot.
MD: You got a christmas gift?
House: Yeah, 'cause I worship Santa. Or wait, is that Satan? I always get them mixed up.
I hate to jump on the band wagon with ULF here but, this release doesn't have me excited for one bit. Even if we had a confirmed Beastmen monster kit, that would still not make them playable (unless they come with new rules adjustment and point decrease). Beastmen, the best thing we can hope for is a herdstone terrain piece and even that id rather make myself...
Magic was already overpowered this just screw it all up even more. Good going GW. More cheese all around!
It IS a plastic Warhammer Dragon. Can build diff varieties just like the Giant.
The other is the plastic Manticore / Chimera.
The other monstrous release will no doubt be the Beastmen Cygor/Ghorgon that Harry has confirmed has been waiting for release for ages.
In terms of monsters for the other armies, Ogre Kingdoms will get their giant Rhidon along with their army book later this year.
Bretonnians, well, what if it was something like this:

I doubt there will be any metals in this release. They're preparing for the big metal > resin switcheroo, and are trying to disguise the lack of metals with big shiny plastics.
So there may be more plastic wizard kits.
As for terrain, let's hope we finally get those Elven Waystones...
Why is it that people think it is of interest to the rest of us how uninterested they are in [insert everything new] and feel the need to express it multiple times in each thread?
This is an expansion. No-one is forcing you to use it. Also, more miniatures is a bad thing? How, please? Only ugly new miniatures are a problem, and since the appreciation of art doesn't have factual content, "ugly" is in the eye of the beholder. And the same principle applies: no one forces you to buy minis you don't like.
Having said that, WOOHOO! Possible Black Dragon, yay! I guess it will come with riders, yes? Sorceress and Dreadlord would be the appropriate, but I might be seeing too much into this.
Could this be the plastic Zombie Dragon I wanted for ages?
Suspension meter slightly rising...

(This is called a 'discussion' btw. Google it if you don't know what it is.)

Because this is a Warhammer forum. People who like the hobby gather here to discuss. Hence, liking things is not out of place at all. Mind, I'm not saying that stating your disappointment with a particular release is wrong in any way: derailing every thread with incessant whining about how everything is going downhill is.
Also, you didn't need to be condescending at all, but whatever floats your boat.
Terrain, Maybe those Dwarf Statues we saw floating around a bit back?
We already have the Wizard towers, I'd guess Elven Monoliths will surface as well.
Checking back through various books and WD there has been some new terrain floating about for a while, I guess they have been holding it back for this release.
I'd expect plenty of "Splash" releases which will re-surface arround Christmas.
I'd also guess all the creatures available to the lore of Beasts change spell (Can't remember the name) will all become available, afterall available to several races.
Going on Apoc and Spearhead, expect "Special Formations" all over again.
Not sure if excited or not, it take an age to set up a big Warhammer game as it is, this will take even longer! (Or maybe thats just me with my Skaven Horde!)
I'm on the fence with this one, big gribblies are always nice (even if I doubt I'll get my Manglers for my NG army in this release), but even more powerfull magic seems a bit odd ... there are already countless whines about how powerfull magic is (never seen that myself, but then I play 1K games with zero wizards, or maybe a lvl 2 NG shaman), and they announce an expansion with even more magic ?
Wierd.
That said, I could very well see this as some form of "Apocalypse for Fantasy", aimed at huge point games (5K+), but then it wouldn't really concern me (my 2K NG horde recently lost 20% of its might, I don't have a 2K legal army anymore, let alone 5K ...).
Still, those bits about a new terrain range sounds good, GW has released really good quality terrain over the last few years, more is good in my book.
Now this is exciting! *Looks at plastic WIP Manticore conversion and tosses it in the bin*
If this is apocalypse for Battle I'm waiting the rules for the Forgeworld greater daemons adapted for Warhammer battle.
Also do you think GW will go as far as writing rules for first generation slaan to re-create the battles of the first Daemonic War?
He's a semi-aquatic, egg-laying mammal of action. He's a furry little flatfoot, who'll never flinch from a fray
So to get this straight, this is an expansion for playing much larger games where magic actually does scale up, adds some new huge spells, and allows for more monsters?
As for the pics, I thought the first might have been some form of Hydra except it appears to have tusks. The second to me looks like Scyla but obviously isn't. Manticore seems the most likely, especially since one was apparently made for release some time ago.
Hmmm...
My son is collecting Dwarves.
I use Wood Elves.
2000 pts and under.
Magic, and beasts? I think this expansion might make us a pair of sad pandas.
Although, I will probably pick up a dragon or some such just for display if the sculpt is worth it.
Sounds fun enough, even if it's a case of forgetting about it and never playing again after a few months, at least it's a fun excuse to release some models for different ranges outside of an army redesign or "wave". Not so thrilled with the actual pics, but I usually wait until I see a figure in person before deciding if I like it (hated photos of new big spider, got one soon after seeing it in the store assembled). It would be nice if the book itself has some decent stories, and White Dwarf runs a few. Storm of Chaos was a bit much, but at least in the lead up we had some actual text in the mag, so maybe!
I'm really hoping we get some terrain that isn't empire, as it's elven and more exotic terrain I find less forgiving when making my own.
yup
And a soft drink that can turn you into a Largazoid?

...how can this be a discussion ?...we have no effect on the end result ;-). What will come out, will come out.
Fantasy as a game has me bored, but this might at least provide me with some cool and groofy monsters to paint up (if 40k doesn't keep my brush busy that is)
I like the teaser pics and i think the source book it self will be a great source of inspiration.
For those of you who do not play a marine army. Thank you. You bring some spice and flavour to this hobby.
