Not sure you've ever seen a dog taking a crap with that comment. The pose is the same as a dog rearing back ready to attack. Crapping would have the rear lower than the front.
You don't actually expect me to argue on the finer points of the crapping stance, do you? With the 4 legs wide spread (and certainly not rearing, which involves shifting the center of balance, not making it even more fixed, as is the case here) like that, it ain't jumping on anything, that's my point. Anyway, I take the blame for bringing this too far from topic, so I'll put an end to it by conceding to... her, dunno, but I concede.

I've had lots of dogs and none of them took a crap with it's butt in the air.
Here are some great examples of angry dogs, most of which have the front of their head and/or body down low with their rear end up high, exactly like that chimera:

Yes, that's totally the pose of the chimera, legs far apart and all (in case I didn't make myself clear in my prvious post: I don't give a damn how dogs crap, it was just an image, I didn't exactly expect people to come explain to me how dogs crap. I mean, for real?). Can we move on?
edit: I know it's unlikely, but I sure hope the squirrel gouged its eye out in the second pic. With a rusty spoon, if possible.

Shh the mods will hear you...![]()
I for one Like the Maestrom Chimera, however it is gi-normous and resin and I would much prefer a plastic GW option on a chariot sized base. What I'd really like to see are lots of plastic rider options for the different monsters. Oh please oh please oh please karl franz in plastic on a dragon.... the 'ole marauder is showing it's age just a smidge

The Maelstrom Chimaera is the best monster I have ever seen. Mine just arrived, and it's a beautiful piece of kit.
Simply the finest miniature of any range I have ever held in my hands.
if there is a cockatrice, i hope its a smallerish monster, perfect silly looking mount for a gobbo
I tried to find if this question was already asked and I did not see it. Sorry if I missed it.
Do you know if the Storm of Magic will include magic items?
If SoM add a full range of magic items it may be the reason why armybooks have so few inside.

Nice, my Dark Elf Sorceror looks forwards to this expansion. Finally, some Dark Magic that actually outclasses the other Lores in sheer face-melting power. Of course, I'll have to put my Manticore conversion to the side, depending on how the official model turns out. At the moment it's looking more like an angry ape than a lion-creature, if that second picture is indeed the manticore...
And as for the artwork, can someone please keep Dave Gallagher away from it. He's doing more and more artwork, and each of his pictures looks more and more washed out and blurred as he goes on. The Tomb Kings cover is particularly nasty, and this Bright Wizard keep up his long tradition of blurred lines and strange-looking facial expressions. I mean, does the man not have a mirror to see faces don't look the way he shows them?
Let's infer some unsubstantials that could be awesome! Magic and Big things?
Could it be we'll finally face the 'eldest ones' from Athel Loren?

I've always wanted to see something happen with that bit of fluff ...
But my guess is this will indeed be mainly an expansion for Empire/O&G/Chaos/DEvsHE/TK
and if they do include WE I'm sure they'll screw the fluff even more and say WE are like the forces of good ...*pukes*.

Yes, faces are hard, but there are his faces that have lips in positions they don't really go in, like the old Blood Angel cover, or Hellebron in the latest Dark Elf army book. We could also show his insane lack of perspective, like the Imperial Guard codex, with the officer seemingly riding on top of a pint-sized tank.
As for the Dark Magic comment, that's always been the Lore that's been particularly nasty, but when it goes wrong, it goes wrong big-time. I'm expecting a "Dark Magic is a little more nasty than the other Lores, but if you miscast... well, I don't want to be in your general area at the time, let's leave it at that."
I'm just wondering, with new spells and magic items, is this a throwback to 'Warhammer: Battle Magic' they had back in 4th? (or was that 5th?)
I'm excited, more big kits are always good, a decent rulebook a la Apocalypse would be a nice bonus.

Maybe the Wood Elves will get the return of the Ariel model, only this time in plastic and the size of a Baneblade. I mean surely she is quite magical, and the more magical you are the bigger model you need..?
I would buy a new Ariel model in a flash, only thing stopping me from a WE army is her absence.
