I ve thought long ago that it d be easier ti make plastic monsters sets for different races - better with included riders,so in 1 set to provide several armies

I might not use the expansion if it makes magic more powerful, but I can't wait for new wizards, and big gribbly things.

Pretty sure that is a Black Dragon and a Manticore. Both are plastic.

I see this is a bit like 'Apocalypse' for Fantasy. Just like 40K Apocalypse was about bringing all your big guns to the table and blowing stuff up this seems to be about bringing all your big gribblys and uber powerful wizards to the table and blowing stuff up ...
... or chomping and ripping stuff up in the case of the big gribblys.

What's not fun about that.

the color of dragon depends on paint job or there are different head options in the kit?
Any clue if the kits include riders?

Yup lol, i dont want to see any more super magic spells!!!!!

However adding in ice magic and other sort of lores would be interesting. Or addressing the 12 dice power limit rule, so magic is better at large point games, or hell, extended magic item list for some armies, 8 isnt enough for TKs and O&G

Oh no, more Trish Morrison/Carden monsters on their way... hopefully they aren't that bad, the Black Dragon resin master that was shown here some time ago was allright.
Fingers crossed there will be new Warlock Engineers. Awesome to see Fantasy getting the spotlight after numerous 40k expansions.

Maybe, although from the looks of it exactly the opposite may be true, how about give everyone bigger and more devastating spells.

Personally I'm not expecting this to be anything major, sounds like we might get some cool kits out of it, wizards, terrain, monsters etc, which are all very welcome, but if the 40K expansions are anything to go by it'll probably get forgotten about in a few weeks. I mean when was the last time you saw game of 40K Spearhead or City Fight being played? Even apocalypse is pretty rare in my area.

And I just decided to invest in a couple of necrosphynxes, with all these new monsters about it'll be important to have something that can chop them in half with ease.

Well technically if you start the year of fantasy battles when 8th edition came out, the storm of magic will bring us to roughly 1 year

I personally like what Harry's saying about this being an apocalypse style supplement, and new plastic monsters are always welcome. For me though it's the new scenery which would be the best possible icing on the cake. PLEASE something elven....PLLEEEEEEEEAAASSEEE

I really hope Dwarfs are going to get something out of this expansion. Something rune-based perhaps, or something to explain the fact that we seem to have giant eagles fighting on our side on the front of the army book?! When this rumour was in its early stages, I was really hoping for an airship, but that looks very unlikely now...

Looking forward to it regardless though.
