Yeah, especially when fighting his old pals from the ogre tribe

And the skin tone, looks brilliant. How did you paint the skin?? Looks great!
I don´t really like them either, but with a head swap (from the marauder horsemen) they look ok.
The skin tone is made with a rather simple recipe:
    1. Tallarn Flesh
    2. Tallarn Flesh / White for highlights
    3. Tallarn Flesh / Dark Flesh for shadows
    4. Ogryn Flesh for the whole model (and maybe Devlan Mud for the shadows).

And here my biggest "mini" so far, the grumpy old man:

Top quality painting, this is gonna be a great army. I love that unit filler how cool! The plog name is ace too, do you intend to do some marauders wielding two sticks of rhubarb?

    Keep up the great work!
Marius Leitdorf is not dead, I bumped into him in Tesco last week.

One of those plogs I don't want to comment on out of jealousy. Verrrrrry nice.

Really nice stuff. Keep up the excellent work. It's plogs like this that have inspired me to go with woc again this year.

Fantastic job on the sorcerer, and I really like the Hellcannon too. I don't think I've seen anyone paint the inside before.

Your painting really is excellent. I particularly admire your giant. Achieving such smooth blending on such large, flat surfaces is very impressive.
Miniature Miscellany (40k, Epic, BFG, Mordheim, Dreadfleet).

Thanks, mates, I am glad you like the minis.
I am fascinated by the fact on how much projects you guys work simultaneously (and so well done). I am way too slow for that, so that I don´t even think that I will start another WHFB army. And my Space Hulk minis are also still waiting for some painting love...

Anyway, on we go with a Tzeentch sorcerer on foot:

Excellent! Point of preference, but I wouldn't mind seeing some more brightness on the disc-mounted sorc. Perhaps up to a brighter purple? Could look neat and add some contrast.

The giant is, by far, one of the most fantastic pieces of an already-dynamite plog. Thank you for sharing this guy with us!

Yeah, maybe I should have done that. I often tend to be too cautious with the highlights. But too late, I unfortunately already varnished the mini.

And here the other disc rider of my army: The BSB on disc.

Very beutiful painting! A bit too clean for my taste on warriors of chaos but i cannot argue that its very nice painting indeed! I really love the bluegrey on your wizards clothes.

Second unit of Marauders (some guys still missing, so there are some doublets from my first unit):

The unit filler: a veteran barbarian under Barbarossa´s command, waiting with equanimity for his next victims to come

I never thought I'd find myself looking at a giant's loincloth with such desire...

I really like your painting, it's kinda bright, but dark at the same time (yes, you have a paradoxical painting style!).

On a final note, in my personal opinion (and this is purely me) I think the log should be called "Barbarossa's Rhubarbarians". It just has a great ring to it.

Anyway, keep it up, I look on with baited breath (and I might just sneak another glance at that giant's crotch.... for artistic purposes of course....)

"Barbarossa's Rhubarbarians" is a really great idea. I should have thought about it by myself!
