    It's time for another update

I am mainly working on getting the main shapes done (upper and lower leg, upper and lower arm and head atm) and getting the magnets in that will attach things. The joints that will not be magnetized are the hip joints that will carry the weight of the torso and the ancles.

Watch the video to see what I mean!

Video #7 HERE <- link to youtube

Here are some photos for those of you to lazy to watch the video

This is how far Ive got. Head and body.

Feet and legs. Kill kan arm for size.

Lower and upper arm pieces and shoulder joint with it pins that will go into the torso.

    Jaw! and sketch of head

When this thing hits the table, it'll be a case of your opponents thinking: "Uh oh....here comes the pain!"

Awesome to see how this thing is coming together: I've had some fevered dreams of trying to make (or at least plan to make) some big stuff this year, so it's great to see how you put this together as it's very inspirational for me. Your usual stuff is great as well, though!

No pressure, but I'm definitely looking forwards to seeing what else comes out of your Mad Mek workshop, xedric.

Re: Xedric is back with Xenos

I hate to double post but I want to show off some photos that might interest y'all.

First the knee. I'm happy with the level of detail. It's sturdy. I want to add some hydraulics on the inside of the knee but I'm not sure if it'll fit. We shall see.

Next up is the clutter that is my desk. You might notice the bunch of teef I'm working on. That's 1 mm plasticard and I'm thinking that it's too thin. Will double all teef up to 2 mm. I hate flimsy teef.

You see the teef again that will adorn the front of the feet. Notice the plasticard piece with two small grey bolts and one larger glued on. I cut the bolts off from some killa kan part. I did that so I could make a oyumaru mold. You also see some pyramid shaped spikes I also did so I could make oyumaru molds of.

Here are the molds with magic sculpt curing inside. I will need a whole lot of spikes for the stompa... Notice that I also have some bolts there too. I decided that I wanted bolts and not just rivets which of course there will be a plenty.

Close up of a teef with a bolt on it. Thats from the GW terrain pack. I think that will work as a detail.

So why am I showing all this? I was browsing images of the forgeworld chaos warhound (which is something I'll have to build one day) and noticed skulls. There are a few of em. It's like the perfect tiny detail to put on most things. The end of a hydraulic pipe etc. So I was thinking. What is the orc equivalent? I don't know. So instead I've been thinking about what kind of details I want on my stompa. So far I've got the pyramid spikes, bolts and rivets. And cables of course. And all the details I've lifted of other orc figures with oyumaru. Is there anything I've missed?

So I have built some more exhaust pipes to go in the back of the stompa. I built this little thing (the top pieces aren’t glued in yet)

And was planning to put it lower on the back but I realized that perhaps it would look good to put this new exhaust on the first big exhaust I built.

What do you think? Up or down?

Any more progress? Looking great so far. The overall pose on the big chap is very impressive and the little details like the chimneys are a nice touch. Very clever use of the banner too. I have a frame for a Gargant but not started work on it yet. I shall certainly be referring to this log for ideas. Keep it coming!
