Great conversions done here. I really like the celtic flair, the tatoos.
Are you going to buy the FW ones too?

Thanks all. @Indreth: I've already bought them, they'll definitely have a place in the army.

The next two fimm out of the swamp are done and dusted. I have some more almost done on the painting table, but I thought I'd pop these up in the meantime. The converted fimm is the most heavily armed one I've done thus far, with a helm and various other odds and ends of armour. His axe was an idea I got from another fimir fan. His fimm have converted dwarf weapons to give the fimm that Celtic vibe, and I unceremoniously stole the idea as it looks gooood.

The other fellow is an out of the blister bog raider from Bloodmoon Miniatures. They're having a bit of a re-jig at the moment, and are returning in the Summer. I picked a few of these lads up before I had decided on the road-to-madness savage orc idea, and I was loathe to leave them out altogether, so I have a few of them in the fimm units to give the unit more variety in pose, even if they are quite different from the converted fimm. Once hidden away in the unit they fit in pretty snugly.

Oooh, nice photos. And nice painting of course.
I didn't think for one second that the bog raider stands out in any way. So that certainly works out nicely.
And I have to say those bases of yours are very nice. Proper swampy look.

Good call on the Dwarf axes, and that bog raider looks like he'll fit in quite nicely with all your lovingly converted Fimir.

Wow, that Fimm noble with the axe is absolutely awesome! Really great looking figure. The bloodmoon minis are pretty neat, although I have to say I've always thought there was something a bit off about the heads - much prefer your sculpted heads!
The great thing about the dwarves is that, even though there's this comic element, when they fight - they really fight!

Thanks all. The bog raider heads are a touch off imo too, it's the nostrils mostly, but the general shape is a little too lizardy, but not so much I wouldn't include them. I like the variety in form too, when the larger fianna fimm are done too it will give the impression of a wilder force, as Red Skullz says.

I recently picked up this guy, who also looks fimirish, but not quite. He'll fit in well I think though, but I can't decide on making him a hero or perhaps a musician or some-such.

Ooo that one is nice! I would`ve thought standard or even bsb depending of size.

    Re: The Fimir of Albion

He's smaller than he looks, I was going to use him as a filler, but he's only as big as the rest of the fimir, so he needs to fit in somewhere else...

Maybe make him a wizard and paint glowing runes on the rock he is carrying?

    Re: The Fimir of Albion

I did have a backstory starting to bubble away for him, as he does looks a little less than all there for a fimir.

Avagdu, bearer of Morfran's wyrd stone. Avagdu is a strange-looking shearl who would have been sacrificed long ago due to his deformities, as the fimir do not suffer any member of the clan who cannot contribute. It soon became apparent however, that Avagdu was immensely strong, and more unusually, acted as the bridge for the spirit of Morfran, a lond dead meargh. Avagdu's mind is almost empty, and it is this that most likely allows Morfran to control him so easily. Morfran's soul is bound to a large wyrd stone, and through this, and her odd connection to Avagdu, she can inhabit the material world. In battle Avagdu can be seen trudging forward, the great stone lashed to his back while arcs of lightning whip from the stone to incinerate the enemies of the clan.

    Wizard it is!

Awesome bit of fluff Mr Saturday! Damn do I love it when a character's backstory is fleshed out.

Ha, love the fluff for Avagdu too! Nice-looking mini.
