Very cool work, Mr.Saturday. That last guy is a really fun miniature. I think I recall that logo in the watermark but can't quite think of what company that is. Would you care to enlighten me?

Looking forward to seeing more updates! This definately is a plog to keep an eye on!

P.S.: I had a quick look at your blog and had to mention that I really love your Easter Dwarfs.

Everything is top notch around here, from conversions to painting. If only it could be a little bit faster ... Keep it up !!

@Sigur, the model is from Greebo miniatures, some nice stuff. The Easter dwarves weren't mine, they were done by Blue from Blue's Marauding Miniatures.

Okay, another fimm for the first unit. I must be speeding up, this lad was done in only a couple of days. I get into a kind of trance painting fimm at this stage. I've loved putting the unit together and painting it, but I'm looking forward to getting them done now, which all of a sudden seems an actual possibility.

@Astraeos, I think I may tackle the meargh next. It's only a single model, so I can lavish a bit more time on her.

Awesome work as always Mr.Saturday, the stonework and tattoo's in particular stand out to me.

Your work on the firmir has really intruiged me, thanks for pointing me twords the warpstone artwork. Having always been a fan of games workshop's "lost" races your thread inspired me to turn one of my old metal savage orcs into a firmir. Figure with my swampy bases I'd fluff it as if they had run into a tribe of Firmir and after killing their Meargh one joined up as the tribe went their ways. Seems Overseer of a skaven slave unit would make a fitting occupation for them and allow me to make a cool unit filler

This last guy looks great - not 'too' fantasy - the weapons/equipment, etc are all nicely proportioned, and the pose is realistic. You have a real talent/flair/skill/work ethic for this.

    Thanks all!

I've still 7 fimir to finish off before I can get my sweaty mitts on the meargh, but 3 are half done, so not toooo long to go. @Gonzilla, nice one, I'd love to see some pics when it's done! I've been considering a slave unit too, but I might keep that for my chaos dwarves, probably using converted flagellants. At some point, along with all the other pipe dreams I have floating about.

Gonzilla. Dude. That fimir slaver is fantastic! Great sculpting on the head, he's the biz. What series savage orcs are they? Hmm. Now I'm wondering about making an overseer of my own again...

    Re: The Fimir of Albion

After posting some shots of one and two fimm over the last while, I thought it time for a group shot of how the unit looks so far. There's 13 out of 20 members completed, plus the movement tray. Starting to come together!

Absolutely an awesome project and some stunning paintjobs. I love the base idea of the savage orcs conversion, and you realized it in a clean and crisp way. The filler with the fliying crows is brilliant. Keep it up ^^

Just brilliant. From the way it's been concepted and sits together to the little touches like the standing stone and the Celtic-type runes. Simply lovely.
...and don't get me started on that movement tray

    Re: The Fimir of Albion

Thanks everyone. I have to say, working through a project like this is so much easier when there is so much encouragement. There have been some very helpful suggestions made too, which really improved the unit, so cheers all!

Fantastic work. I love Fimir, and I have to say your conversions and paintjobs are stunning. Since I'm pondering to get the FW fimir models, how would you rate them, in terms of the ones you received? Are they as good as they look in the pictures?
