I love this concept so much that I am making my own Deff Krumpany army. Thank you for providing inspiration, as they say, imitation is the biggest form of flattery.

Ok folks its been a while but this thread is officially resurrected!!
Quick update before the pic's....
Wrist is almost repaired, two op's down, a third still to go but this is a minor tidy up so I'm told. Still lacking some fine control so painting is still on the back burner but at least I can get on with building some more stuff.
During my enforced absence I toyed with selling Morks Angels, but this is one of those labour of loves and despite giving me more than one headache with certain issues I could'nt bring myself to do it. I used my time away wisely and sourced some bases I like and got my head round the basing and balancing issues I was going to have with this army. I've also sorted out some of the more problematic builds and as you'll see later on am starting to make some headway with these!
Anyways enough idle chit chat.... let the show commence!
These are the bases I'm going with.
They're great quality and the design is perfect for Orks. What I particularly like in preference
to other junk/debris styles is the flatter look. This makes mounting the figures easy and gives me the option of adding to them for extra height and further variety. For those that are interested they're available from Ramphoenyx via eBay (UK based and great service) -- search for "scrap yard" bases --- available in 25,40,60 & 90 and coming soon is the flyer base to complete the set... V happy about that!!
Added another squad since the last time I was here, currently running at four strong but another will be joining soon.
First up the squad sgt, complete with chain driven jet pack!
Squad grunts, really pleased that I've managed to use a different head on every figure in this army, just goes to show you the variety GW produce!
Got to have a pesky grot and this armies no exception even if they are supposed to be Angels. Going to use him in the game as one of the squads troopers hence the WYSIWYG!!
As always C&C welcome, next update soon!!

I....adore?..that grot. Wait, nothing in the 40k universe is supposed to be adorable, right? Still, he reminds me of a little boy trying to keep up and prove he's tough enough to hang around the big kids.
Good to see you back in action! That little grot reminds me of a childrens story from swedish author Astrid Lindgren: Karlsson vom Dach (Karlsson from the rooftop) - a little boy with a propeller on his back who flyed around causing trouble.
amazing, back with a bang and a flash, and I mean that literally. Modelling is as ever, inspired.

Those bases, 100% perfect, thanks for the heads up!
Looking forward to seeing that SR as well.

Cool to have this one back. The conversions are great, as always.

Cheers guys good to see I've still a few supporters,
Been a busy week at work and so not much time for big projects however I did manage some work on my bases.
I thought I'd take the opportunity to show you how I'm going to combat the balance issues I have with the Angels.
Quick trip to the local hardware store yielded these,
which just so happen to fit rather nicley in these....
Once secured with some off cuts they seem quite effective, and mixed in with some debris and other hollowed out stuff, engine blocks, machinery that sort of thing, should give me the variety I'm looking for.
Now these will be fine for the rank and file troops but for the character and vehicle builds I thought I'd go with something bigger, so here's a very early WIP of the first of my landspeeder bases...
Used a 90mm base and buried a couple of the weights in the hull. As I say its a WIP and needs a good tidy up but it'll give you an idea. I'm thinking a wrecked truck would be another suitable option!
As usual, thoughts comments and critic welcome!

Besides, it's always in pretty bad taste to criticize someones hobby based on the money spent. If you have a vision and the means and motivation to see it through, who cares what it cost?
I have a few plastic kits in their original plastic wrappings with no plan to paint in the near future, including a Land Raider and a Rhino, plus infantry and cavalry kits. THAT's more money than sense! They'd all make better basing material than cupboard-filling material!
Those left over kits, plus the detail you've added yourself make really impressive bases! Also a clever way to weigh down off-balance models.

Those bases are looking awesome MN, I really like the landspeeder base - although the one concern I'd have is that the base may over power the model but I'll hold final judgement until I see it with the speeder attached.
Anyway, I've got a spare Reaver Titan - want to use it for your warboss base?![]()

Can't wait to see a lick of paint on them, any idea of what paint-scheme your going to use yet??![]()
Well readers, my old mate Punkfish raised a valid point so I thought I'd post a few pic's so you can decide. My vision was to have the 'Angels' look like they're zooming across a junk yard, and this is what I've come up with so far...
Are these bases too much or do they get a thumbs up. I've not attached them yet so there's scope for alternative uses but I'd appreciate your view/feed back...
First up is the plane wreck.
Second base, junk pile truck.
here's some shots of the second base.
and finally ....... neeeeaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhhh, bratatatat!!!
