Thought i could add a place to dump my images around here as i have had much fun with my other threads. The most fun is when it have gone some time and you look back on things. So his is what i will have this place for and also recieve comment and critique since its hard getting that from my cats and family.

The Image above is a large painting in acrylics that i intended to work more on but i like it like this so far. Perhaps i will add more in the future.

Anyways here is something im working on at the moment. Its for a special project and its acrylics on A4 paper. Not what I am used to since its absolutely ages since i painted fantasy. This is for me like painting a big banner or something. But its fun! I get lots of progress quick and do not waste so much paint.

I have a scanner that takes A4 as maximum size so that is one reason why i made it that size. This how ever is a bad photo.

Well i got an update here and it is turning out pretty good i think. Managed a couple hours on it and its not much more to do. I will need to finish the dragon and rider plus the High Elf battleline of silverhelms charging ahead.

With some luck i will finish it tomorrow.

*EDIT* Oh and does anyone know of a good page for fantasy artist to hang around that is not Elfwood? Elfwood is like trying to find a needle in a haystack... *EDIT*

Cool start. The left hand of the warrior seems weird, it's on a different alignment compared to the axe, you should see more fingers of the hand if you see the axe-blade like that.

Mrtn- Excellent! But looking at the hand, if it is the same, im thinking it needs even less fingers showing? I must sketch on it but indeed the alignement is wrong and now that i see it i see nothing else lol! Must correct! Hands are damn tricky.

Ok so i have looked on my own hand holding a cylindral( correct word?) object and trying to get the fingers right and consider the fact that there are armored gloves too. I am not sure but i think i can move along now and start on the next picture.

The chaos vs high elves piece looks very good so far (I mean really, really good!), but I must say I absolutely love the Mountain of Rage piece - don't add anything to it btw, the current form and composition work great. That'd make an awesome piece of art on my wall! So whatever you do, keep producing wonderful stuff like this!

I know nothing of art and am just giving opinions of a personal nature. I wish I could do the paintings like this, but I clearly can not.

I think the cross of action with the warriors and the dragon is well done. So are the vague elves in the cavalry line. I think I would like to see a coal like drawing from you.

I cannot help but feeling that the left warrior should be bigger than the middle one since he is closer, or maybe just the arm and head going from the shoulder pad.

The dragon is burning itself, but for the stance and showing speed it looks just right.

The sky and the clouds look very rough compared to the line of elf cavalry just under it, but I think Dutch sea battle paintings have that as well but with unclear edges. The same goes for the middle warrior’s body and his head. The holding of his right antler is too long it comes over the helmet and makes it look odd. Half of it should be gone.

If you can take more criticism, look at the legs of the horse in the middle. Real horses only move like that with their front legs one at a time. Most of the time the front leg and the hind leg of the other side are at the ground and/or angled. The only reason their legs are spread is to jump (and coming down in this case), but that would angle the body and hoofs.

Keep them coming!

Radium- Thanks! And glad you like the mountains, i will probably just let it hang on the wall and if i come up with anything i will add it but i think i have reach the end of the line with this one. I cannot change anything without having to change other stuff and then i will probably just mess it all up.

Little Joe- First i want to thank you for your criticism! All of it is really helpfull and exactly what i need to hear so i can get better because its damn hard to learn and analyze by myself everything i do, especially in a painting like this that is supposed to show something real (ok.. dragons are not real but hey :P ).

I think i will let this pic be as i have set a timelimit of 8 hours maximum to produce a picture and will take everything you said and that i have learnt from this painting and use it on the next one. This will make me try harder and harder to make it right straight away instead of doing lots of afterwork.

Practice makes perfect!

Next up is a 40k scene and i will start drawing it up now. Clock is ticking... tick tick tick!
