Do well painted minis increase sales or do they just draw admiration from customers?
That doesn't expand to the scale of the enforcer pic and looks airbrushed. I don't doubt that you can find them, and I said almost any, not all. But for a rank and file model at actual model scale it doesn't look bad at all. Even good models look bad at really close scales.
It's simply down to how far away you're meant to be looking. Most models don't get a magnifying glass treatment, so I don't know why they should be held to that kind of standard.
It's like HD tv, eventually you get to the point where you can't see the difference.

You people expect GD-level paintjobs for rank-and-file minis that will never appear so zoomed in in promotional material? Really?
I bet you a dollar that if you were to blow up a GW grunt to the same level as the enforcer, they wouldn't be any better, and we're talking a company with their own painting team. I have yet to see an official photo that was as much zoomed in as this WIP; even Rackham, who prided themselves in beautiful paintjobs, had pics 1/3 of the size.
I think the enforcer looks just fine, simply needs more contrast on the edges, but it's a WIP, so...
The paint job on the models does look great. I still think the bases leave a lot to be desired though.
The bases do need work, but this is the first Warpath model shot that excites me as much as the shot of them in the unpainted material.
I think the bases suffer a bit from being generic "open ground" style - they probably could have benefitted from a more sci-fi slant. That said, the models themselves are still very well-done - if I knew which of Golem's minions did it, I'd applaud them personally.
Good painting, terrible scheme - it makes them look really squat and compact.
Also, three sets of legs used twice, two sets of right arms... come on Mantic what are you playing at.

Nice models and great painting. But were is the diversity in posing? More arms are needed. The 3 guys in the middle are to simular.
Sigh, 2 extra arms, 2 extra legs, 2 extra torso's and this set would be spectacular.
Imo the lack of more options are still a huge drawback.
I don't care about the bare minimum of diversity (which isn't as bad as you might think, the torsos and legs are apparently separate pieces) so much as the fact that these puppies cost £3 per model.
That's the same price as metal minis for a restic/metal hybrid... and it's only 4 pairs of arms that are metal, so I'm really not sure why the models have to be priced that high.
I'm more interested in the Corporation vehicle releases coming in December!
Modular APC/Tank kit coming soon.![]()

If you play any of Mantic's games, check out my Battlescribe project for KoW and Warpath.
They really do have Cerberus written all over them, I approve. I'll have to get some to fight my converted Asari Eclipse forces.

enforcers ship out today/yesterday right? I can't wait to get mine in!

I got mine (elite edition). Really nice models and quite a bit bigger than the corp marines. They make the FF look tiny in comparison. The captain is a beast, larger than a 40k terminator. AND he has a jump pack....

Confirmed yesterday at the Open Day.
Vehicles for Warpath next year. "Hard plastic the most logical choice" for the material so we can expect this to be the case.
Hardback book next year with re-emphasis on mass-battles (100-200 models pre side plus tanks and flying vehicles). At least 2 new armies in the book and likely that the Enforcers will be split off into their own list too (as expected).
Boardgame-wise, lots of rumours for DB as you can imagine, but Jake mentioned that Project Pandora would not be forgotten, nor would DKH so both will be revisited at some point in the future).

Glad to hear about hard plastic vehicles, if the Warpath Kickstarter will be funding a ton of those, I'm going to be very happy with it.
I'm going to try and save up enough to get one of each of the 8 armies when it launches. When it's a case of "Mantic prices + 70% kickstarter discount with free shipping" that kind of ambitious collecting plan suddenly becomes very achievable.![]()

I'm happy to have more options for 28mm vehicles, although the emphasis on mass battles concerns me, especially as 100 - 200 units plus tanks makes it a significantly larger affair than the many Warpath rules iterations implied. Also at that level it starts to lack the cheap and affordable appeal that Mantic had going for it, especially with the rising prices on Warpath models.
