I've got 2 active projects, and one mothballed. I try not to work really hard on more than one or two at a time. Otherwise I just never get anything done.

Hey Lonely Path, when you say "full Deathwing" do you mean an army that's pure Deathwing or the entire Deathwing (as in 100 Terminators)? In the case of the latter... respect man - an more so when you finish!!!

Re: How many projects do you run simultaneously?

    Purely hobby-related stuff:

Since I sold my Iron Warriors, the Pre-Heresy Emperor's Children I'd started became Dark Angels very quickly... But they were also sold about a year after finishing the army. I traded some of my Dark Eldar for Assault Marines and a Drop Pod a while back, so my Dark Eldar force is very small and strictly old school... That needs updating and expanding, though I want to keep it as a fairly small raiding force. I've been trying to decide on which Legion to choose for a Chaos Space Marine force for the better part of a year now.

At one stage, it was a small 'Sons of Horus' warband, comprised of those that rejected Abaddon's decree and wore a mixture of the Legion colours (a dark ocean green) and black (such as greaves, pauldrons etc) with the metallics being gun metal, with the original insignia still used. This idea evolved into pure Black Legion, with inducted (not allied) legionnaires showing their original colours/symbol on the right shoulder pad, with the Eye of Horus on the left.

That quickly went out with a Word Bearer force, using Codex: Witch Hunters, that is still potentially on the cards. But it's much more likely I'll stick to either Black Legion or Iron Warriors. Though I've considered just about every Legion at one point or another.

I'll likely end up using 'The Tyrant's Legion' for a Pre/Heresy force after that, followed by the Word Bearer/Chaos Cult idea with Codex: Witch Hunters. Oh yeah, I have a pretty big force of Epic: Space Marine... Space Marines, painted up as Thousand Sons or Blood Angels... I can't remember.

This all said, Codex doesn't matter too much as I'll probably only play once or twice a year. Purely for show/eye candy.

I am currently looking to shift a sizeable amount of Chaos Space Marine models, including Dark Vengeance Cultists/Chosen/Helbrute/Lord, Fantasy Chaos Knights, a Dark Apostle, Fantasy (Finecast) Chaos Lord, Warp Talons, Possessed and painted models with Forge World parts. Send me a message if you're interested!

I try to keep it to two or three.
    Currently I'm building/painting a DE and a GK force for 40k.
    Also a Lizardman force.
I'm also thinking of doing a late war Soviet FoW army.
There is an outside possibility of picking up a Dystopian wars force.

I do much better since I restricted myself to one system (40k). It was getting silly, well it still has its moments, but at least I can use all my figs together in the same Apocalypse force...

Re: How many projects do you run simultaneously?

Pretty much everything I've bought since I started 20 years ago lol.

I haven't ever actually finished a force off to my own satisfaction. But I plan to change that shortly. With this years annual price increase, I've decided I really need to finish off my existing projects before starting a new one, so I've bought the last bits I need for my CWE and DE forces, and I'm going to get them sorted before treating myself to something new.

    Happy days.

One project left, basing all my models

With a family, home, pets, wife that considers any hobbies that keep me occupied away from everyone the equivelant to cheating on her with her best friend and mortal enemy at the same time and a job, it's rather easy to keep the projects to a minimum as opposed to the argumentative (extreme understatement) alternative.

Re: How many projects do you run simultaneously?

    My current active projects are:

    1. Small terrain piece for a youtube challenge
    2. BA Stormraven, everything in sub assemblies working on the interior
    3. BA Razorback, interior done, outside sprayed, washes done (these are my last 2 BA models)
    4. Warbuggy conversion for an online contest. Primed, need to paint.
    5. A single marine for another online project

I do have a long list of stuff stacking up:
    1. A large, assembled VC army. Not even primed. Needs a few more additional models though.
    2. Slowly accumulating Orcs and Goblins, mostly still in unopened boxes.
    3. A few large models for my Orks: a stompa, looted Valkyrie battlewagon, a kill crusha and a megadread still in bags.
    4. A Tau Barracuda also still untouched

Well if you don't count every single army as a project all its own, I have 40k and a Bathroom.

Re: How many projects do you run simultaneously?

Never more than 2-3, otherwise nothing would ever get done if too many projects are on the table. Currently working on an Ork combat patrol and some small/medium terrain pieces for combat patrol. That'll probably keep me occupied for several months.

Re: How many projects do you run simultaneously?

Well, my current job includes directing two productions every year, simultanously during autumn. This includes ~30 people on stage for each production, acting, singing, dancing, etc. I don't have to do the choreography or the vocal coaching, but the rest is pretty much up to me.
    So that's two for starters.

I like to write, and have written three plays to this date. I should really be getting started writing the fourth and begin hassling different theatres with my last two scripts...
We'll say that counts for one. So now it's three.

I live seven hours away from most of my friends and the girl I'm currently dateing.
    Lets call that four.

    Painting-wise, I'm right now doing:
    Commission work Eldar
My own 13 th Co Space Wolves
    Escher gang for Necromunda
That's three quite different projects. Seven.

There's also the project of working out, staying healthy, blahblahblah. Eight.

Of course, that's if we're talking about stuff outside the painting as well.

    Work that is current:
Painting Chaplain with Sanguinary Guard jump pack
Painting Sanguinary Guard as Vanilla Honour Guard
    Painting a Vindicator
Painting a Grey Knight Grand Master and Librarian conversions, with 3 Paladins

    On the backburner:
    Scratchbuilding my Knight Paladin
Painting a Vanilla Techmarine, 15 Sternguard and 5 Vanguard
Basing my Captain of the First Company in Terminator armour

And I'm also thinking about starting a small display of Truescale Marines, which I think I'll start when I've finished most of the stuff I've got to do.

Re: How many projects do you run simultaneously?

Right now, I'm working on the Salamanders again, because I sold the previous ones I had. FW finally came out with the pads I needed. Fortunately, most of their vehicles are done.

I've also got BA in the pipeline. That one was accidental though. I was buying enough BA battalions for the no-BA troops in it, and BA dread kits for the dual DCCW arms, and Stormravens for the rest of my armies, that I ended up with enough actual BA stuff I might as well do BA.

I'm also waiting on metal DA pads to finish out my company Vet squad. Then I move on to Vehicles.

The SW are done except for a couple of Drop Pods need to be bought and built.

The BT need 3 Land Raider Crusaders, and 2 Vindi's. Then it's paint time for them.

Chaos is the pain in my backside, because I decided to do all 9 legions. I've got through building 3 so far (AL, WB, and IW) and IW and AL are mostly painted. I decided to redo the WB Possessed to have a WB pad on them, but other than that, they're almost ready to go to paint too. The Night Lords are only an HQ and two troops right now, as is the World Eaters and Thousand Sons. PM's have been back ordered for a while now, so I haven't been able to work on the Death Guard. EC is suffering a parts issue as I decided to use only the metal chest piece from the NM box for all the models in the army.

With BL, I finished a converted Abbadon and even put some paint on him, but decided to leave BL other than him for last.

I'm also working on a 50K WFB Storm of Chaos display project for Gamesday 201?. Not sure when I'll be done with that one.I've already got a year's work in it, and it looks like I'll have at least a year's more work before it's even ready for paint.

There's also Eldar to be finished, Steel Legion that needs to be painted, as well as Sisters, etc...

Yeah, my time is spoken for for a while and that's not counting if I like the new Necrons when they come out and decide to start them too.

Before you say it, yeah I know. I brought it on myself.

I normally have only 2 projects going on at once. With one being the main and the other as a side project

Like currently I am working on nob bikers and Ghazkull. When I am waiting for something to dry on the bikers I work on Ghazkull

Re: How many projects do you run simultaneously?

Just simply knowing I will never complete most of my projects is an idea I long ago acknowledged. So, here's my list:

    1) Getting my business to turn the amount of profit vs labor I'd like to see.
    2) Making sure I spend enough time with my family
    3) Finishing the water heater replacement(pulling the counter top for it)

    on to hobby items

    4) Getting the finalized airbrush scheme worked out for my Minotaurs
    5) Finish converting the rest of the 1st and 3rd company of said Minotaurs
    6) Finish scenic basing the rest of my snow based Vostroyans
    7) puttying cloaks on all of my Roman Ultras
    8) Finish washing, assembling and repairing my squadron of Vultures
    9) Selling off the rest of all of my armies besides Minotaurs, Ultras and Vostroyans
    10) Finish planning out the invitational tournament I'll be running this summer
    11) Finalizing my custodes conversion scheme with a mix of Scibor, GW and putty
    12) Painting all of my terrain
    13) Finishing the 3 commission projects I have on my workbench right now

And I think that's it presently. Or, as some have done with summarization, Family, Work, Hobby :P
