Aw man, I so want to play games with your terrain. It's awesome.

For the windows, would it be too much effort to have replaceable "glass"? One set intact, the rest broken from being shot through to open up LoS.

    Re: Tommygun Ironworks

I would have to make a frame and then magnetize it on every window.
I like the idea of being in base contact with the widow and/or the wall underneath it to be able to shoot out of a building.
And when in base contact with the window any mini outside can see your mini inside and shoot back at it.
It a more realistic way to use a building as they are normally full of furniture, walls, curtains and can often appear dark from the outside.

    I'm calling this one done.
It's hard to tell, but there is smoked glass installed.
I guess I should have put a mini behind the glass.
I'll try to remember with the next building.

Nothing special, just white walls and a red painted floor.
I may go back in the future and add something, but it's not a priority.

You're insane. I bet you hear that a lot, but it's true, in the best way possible. Amazing, inspiring stuff.

Just incredibly cool. I'm about to start a spaceship interior terrain project, and your blog has given me many great ideas.

Aaaaww, as usual really great, inspiring stuff. How did you get the black stripes to stay on the facade? Did you use a pen and a ruler? Because these things are my concern about painting these really cool apartment kits. We got tons of them at my LGS but the guys won't paint them because they say that they like them as they are.

    Re: Tommygun Ironworks

The recessed panel lines are untouched.
I spray painted them with a white fine misting automobile spray primer and it has a natural tendency not to fall into the recessed lines.
If you check the Infinity game terrain forums, you will see a number of laser cut buildings that have been spray painted with artist spray brushes.
You see the same effect of the recessed lines not collecting paint in them.
The lines themselves are burned in by lasers so are very dark to start with.
Just spray them with a good brand of auto primer from your area and they should be fine.

    Re: Tommygun Ironworks

So I put a few portable walls together tonight based on Sasquatch's walls from the Infinity forum.
    http://www.infinitythegame.com/forum....php?tid=10296
The walls hook together with a simple hinge that allows them to be set up in a variety of ways.
Although, if I want them in a straight line, I will have to have a few braces like the ones Sasquatch uses on his walls.
They're not completely done yet, I have a few screw heads to add to the armor plates.
I started out with making the screw heads out of 1mm plasticard, but didn't like how far they stuck out.
They are now going to be made with 0.5mm thick card.
I also adapted them to form a basic Fallout Enclave barrier as well.
Well I think they are good enough to suppress the masses with?

Nice work man. Very cool. I do love the Enclave barricade. Modular fences and walls are always handy for games.

    Re: Tommygun Ironworks

Well, I have been pillaging Sasquatch's brain again and modded this design to suit it.
These will be part of the run down Blade Runner table.
This is the smallest of seven buildings that will nest inside each other for storage.
Each size will grow 1/2 an inch in width and length.
As you can see it breaks down into components to help with storage too.
The most time consuming part is the roof and they will nest in a separate stack from the buildings.
As they need to nest inside each other, there will be no interior other than decorating the floors and walls.
The outside blocks are architectural elements that will give cover to the minis.
They can represent utilities or machines need by the building.
I want a table that I don't have to place boxes or whatever every 4 to 6 inches.

    Re: Tommygun Ironworks

    .
    .
    Battle for Point Duvet.

I'm back at work on this building set.
Need to add simple slide up doors and then do the roofs.
The roofs may end up taking longer than the buildings though?
The windows will get the dark glass like the earlier modded Micro Art building and I have purchased a tan spray paint for them as well.
They may also get some dark brown trim too, but I'm not sure yet.
Those little square boxes at the corners will be getting some changes.
Their shape will stay the same, but I need to find a better way to detail them.
Considering the possibility of making the boxes look like radiators or vents.
They will also be getting removable and arrangeable interior walls
All seven buildings do nest inside each other for smaller storage.
I'm hoping to finish these guys in a week?
