These look great, so you will have a magnetised back wall for them? windows? (you get the option of a few bullet holes which would look good IMHO)
I think your choice for elevators instead of stairs is the right one, stairs just take up so much space.

    Re: Tommygun Ironworks

I made the walls with little tabs that seem to stay in place well without magnets and the building is small enough that one side open is enough to move things around.
I feel this style of building is the most practical way to have multi story buildings in a game.
A larger building can have taller ceilings and a second removable wall.
The windows will be multi paned and glued in.
Broken window options can be useful, but that's more stuff to magnetizes.
I'm hoping to get the detailing done soon, so I can get to experimenting with painting ideas.

    More WIP shots:
I think I have enough outside details, though I think I will add a little more to the buttresses outside the door.
So now I need to do this to the other six and then finish the elevators.
Also note that the roof hatch sits directly on top of the elevator shaft.

This will be the base color of the buildings.
    I'm calling it institutional green.
So this will be the test model for the color of the rest of the buildings.
It still needs detail painting, washes, weathering and high lighting.

    This one is done.
I don't think I need to bother with adding clear plastic to the backs of the window panes, but I could change my mind later.
Well I believe this will play the part on a Blade Runner table.
Just six more to go then a few Ghost of Mars buildings.

I can't wait to see these all put together on a dark wet street. At first I was wondering about your color choice, but weathered up and detailed, it is excellent. I'd like to see one of Mel's hovercars parked out front.

This is TOO cool. Seriously impressive stuff.

I love the way the buildings can be packed away inside each other like russian dolls. Very neat.

Those buildings look great, I'm really impressed by the design and look. They look great in paper but are way better in plastic are and paint. I may have to try some imitations of these.

    Re: Tommygun Ironworks

Quite the sex. I am always baffled by the detail and crispness of prints at that size. A poster wall like this adds the amount of realism which makes terrain like yours so uch more desirable than the typical stuff. Also the weird scratch style you have is what I prefer a billion times over modular terrain pieces like GWs.
Whereas their quality is undoubted, despite all the possibilities it looks so much all the sae and uninspired.

However, get that stuff done, I wanna look at cool terrain.

The End Is Nigh, well the end of this group at least.
Just need to finish the window panes and elevators and I can start painting it.

    So it seems!

In case you are interested in a bit of near future terrain porn, here's a link. The video might give you some ideas.

    Nice site.

That brownish cloth is a piece of flannel material I picked up at a local fabric store.
Fabric stores are a good source for cheaper gaming mats, just look for what's on sale.
