I've started to decorate the banner but it is still WIP.

OTOH, the idea for the banner is quite familiar to me - I used to have a BSB from (less) converted Green Knight too - though now I am slowly painting a lightly converted 6th ed BSB (the conversion being an extra crest for the horsehead and complete removal of embeded shield on the barding).

That 6ed BSB is really nice but I want most of my banners to flutter on the wind and as I have a horse body and knights legs from GK set I decided to combine it with 6ed BSB and a horsehead from 5ed Questing Knight.

Very good choice of design on the banner. It is on the verge of OTT which is perfect for warhammer. The small decorations is a nice addition and I'm curios what you will do next. Just a nitpick though, is the banner a bit crooked? looks like it in the pic.

Well done! I like it. The ribbons added flavor to big flat surface. Now it doesn't look so overwhelming.

Beautiful conversion for the BSB. You're really showing this guy some love - which is entirely fitting for the focal point of the army.

Above all else, I think it is the pose that sells it. Seriously, he demands a heroic soundtrack. Also I imagine him all in slow motion, like the Persian messenger near the start of 300.

Looking forward to seeing him painted too.

OTT means "over the top" - exaggerated to the point of ridiculousness, or flamboyant... something along those lines
Model looks great, definitely looks better than the other one, which was definitely over the top.
You green stuff work is looking really smooth too, those ribbons and purity seals have come out great. What's your method for the ribbons? I can never seem to get mine to come out even in thickness and width.

What's your method for the ribbons?

Flatten some GS, then You have to wait a few hours for GS to harden, but not completely(it will still be flexible). Then You have to cut ribbons and apply them on the model bending them as You wish. Thats all

Gold&black is an excellent combination, though I do not like painting black so I wouldn't use it as a dominant colour
