In the older fluff the mountains are full of almost every kind of monster and the night goblins are experts at stealing eggs to trade to their low land cousins. On top of that enormous spiders and scorpions were said to live in the night goblin tunnels specifically.
Fluff wise almost all of them would fit.
The WD lists the price of the Cokatrice as £25, whilst the website states £21.50. Other currencies are at the equivalent lower rate (in comparison to the Chimera, etc.).
It's probably just a printing error, but it might also be worth preordering.
Any, really. Lots of monsters in the World Edge Mountains, and night gobs are routinely described as selling eggs and hatchlings around. They appear to be the main wyvern providers, for instance. I never quite got why, in the fluff at least, night goblins didn't have menageries of those. Common goblins do have them in cages in their caravans (which covers MY army quite handily) along with slaves and loot, so why not night gobs?

You can always use the rules for one of the monsters but create your own creature, suited to the army.
For the night goblins for example, you could use the spined chaos beast as some sort of squig variant - the "spiny squig"? Giant Hedgesquig? Squigupine?
saw new stuff on the site kinda bummed as the great taurus looks like it's only got a WS and T of 3.
The Taurus has special rules which deals a strength 4 flaming hit to all units in base contact. Yes toughness 3, but -1 to damagerolls with all mundane weapons. To me it seems like the WS is 5, not 3. And buffing it with flaming sword is powerful, +1 to damage (good vs other monsters) as well as regains D3 wounds!
i read it as toughness 5
Also the templates are back up on the GW site. guess they found some boxes or something :P
I am absolutely certain it says ws5 and t5. It actually seems like a decent choice considering s6 and the s4 fire hits. Certainly much better value than the 200 pts manticore (which I am guessing will see a point drop in SoM).
In other news I can bind some blood knights to my Brittonian army, to make that undead brittonian army I always deamed of.
seems a bit under priced then....![]()

No wonder that you thought 2nd ed 40K sucked. You weren't even playing it.
Skarbrand and Kugath aren't the Forgeworld models. The Forgeworld Bloodthirster is An'ggrath the Unbound and the Great Unclean One is Scabeiathrax the Bloated. They are in Imperial Armour Apocalypse along with the Daemon Lord of Slaanesh, Zarakynel.
According to the blog, they still have soem in Australia. Also, the store allocations have been set aside so they will stil be available on the day if you get to a GW early.
